Checkers — Restaurant in Douglasville

I usually dont do post like this but right now I am very upset. I went to the checkers on Fairburn Road. I really don’t like checkers but I went because that’s what my husband wanted. Ordered a loaded Buford burger that didn’t have any of the condiments on it that was supposed to be on it I went and to them to fix it. I talked to the cashier who I paid and then another girl comes over and you know they act like they didn’t even know what goes on their own burger so in term they go get the manager the manager comes to the window and while he’s talking to me, he’s being very rude and I said, sir the items on the burger aren’t on the burger they only put the bacon and the mustard and mayo. It was supposed to have these fried onions and Fries on it, but I asked him told them I wanted the fried onions but not the fries. well, he didn’t inform me that they don’t have it. The warehouse is out and I said well all you had to do was tell me that and I could’ve fixed my burger the way I wanted it and during the whole conversation, he’s rolling his eyes, throwing his hands up and I said well, sir if you’re gonna be rude about it, then you could just give me a refund. He goes in turn and says I’m not gonna give you a refund and I’m like OK I didn’t even say anything really after that other than OK and instead, he goes in the drawer and throws $30 at me he doesn’t put it in my hand and then proceeds to call me a big back and I instantly got mad Because who are you to address me like that I’m a pay customer I didn’t come at you with attitude, I didn’t come in there with negativity, but to speak to me in that tone and that matter, and that condescending way, and you could tell that he was really racist Because he didn’t address me with respect in the first place when he came to the window he didn’t say hi he didn’t say anything. He was just like yes what did you tell her? I am so so angry right now that I couldn’t even see straight to drive. I was crying. I was so upset and I called the corporate office and I told him that I was gonna call the corporate office and he waved at all. He said I don’t care call him like it doesn’t matter for him to be a manager and so unprofessional and to carry on the way that he did in front of those employees no wonder why The employees act the way they act when they’re there because that’s what they’re being tall and I refuse to go back to that checkers or any checkers for that man cause I don’t really like their food anyway but what I will say is that after today I’m going to report them to the BBB and bring awareness in my area to stop patronizing them ! This behavior is very very unacceptable to do that to someone and if you do it to me, you’ll do it to a lot of other people and I’m not I’m not a bad person. I’m not a hard person to get along with. I was in the food service industry for 40 years and in those 40 years never have ever Treated a customer the way I just got treated. Customer service goes a long way and that was not it and I hope you guys will think twice before ever visiting that checkers on Fairburn...

Ordered my 'usual' triple big buford w cheese plain, root beer no ice. Charged $13.14 ( for a meal that usually runs a little over $12).

When i pulled up, the individual at the counter said 'medium orange?'. No, root beer no ice, large size. Evidently 'English' wasn't her language (imagine that, but SURELY their automated drive through greeter took it down right... right??? WRONG. MEDIUM ORANGE it was... I said no... root beer... root beer... the other woman said ' i hear orange' so I said no... root beer... Barqs.... ARF ARF... barqs.

Not thinking to check the rest of the order before I left I thought SURELY the computer did SOMETHING right so I went to pull out. I noticed the large root beer (?????) Wasn't'quite as full as it normally is but I wasn't about to spend the rest of my night teaching 'English' to anyone.

Knowing Checkers fries usually have the crispyness of your average earthworm... I turned on the oven and poured out the fries on the sheet. Then I unwrapped the burger (and figured why it was $13.14. She had added bacon. Can't eat bacon(cancer thing). Not willing to spend the rest of my night dealing with these people again... yep, $13.14 for large fries and half a drink.

STRIKE THREE.... YOU'RE OUT. NEVER AGAIN. YOU JUST...
