This place is hit or miss, literally. If you’re a gambler and you’re feeling lucky, give it a shot. I’ve had it 5 times since they opened in the new building. I’m not sure if the ownership changed or if I just used to be luckier, but I used to love whatever I chose. Now, like I said, it’s either incredible or awful. I’m not suggesting that the same items are sometimes made incredibly well or ghastly, no, if you order a turkey sub it’s fantastic every time and if you want buffalo chicken tenders they’re gross every time. Fact is, the owners are in over their heads. The menu is simply too flooded with filler items with flashy fun names that invite you to be adventurous. They should strip it down, and heavily. Simple have someone try everything on the menu and give their honest opinion. If this happened, they could eliminate the terrible things like the chicken Caesar salad, that I literally had to spit out, and have more awesome things like the grilled veggie hoagie. Alright, let me just say I am a major foodie and love to leave honest reviews. I love a good sandwiches. From the West Coast to the East Coast and everywhere in between.

Doug's was my latest venture. I have posted positive reviews for other sandwich shops in the area, but might have just stumbled across the best. Within a little over a week I have tried this place a hand full of times to see if they can be consistent.

This brings me to a positive review. After discovering this place I will NOT buy a sandwich anywhere else. Sure Dover has some good shops, but this is comparable to Philadelphia in an Italian style food mart. This is excellent.

The sandwiches are good, and worth the price. The owners are awesome, food is always right on time and if not "Who cares"......

Anyway you catch the drift. Check this place out, give them your business, give them your money. NH has a new rival and they are packing some pretty BIG guns when it comes to fresh.

Check it out, and you will not be disappointed. The "Live free or Die" state has a good shop, in Dover...
