My friends and I wanted to enjoy dinner together, and since I had never been to Lexie's, they recommended it and we went. Unfortunately, the experience was not as great as we had hoped. Upon entering, we told the woman near the door how many people in our party, and, instead of seating us, she motioned her hand to an empty table and said "you can sit back there by the window" before turning and walking away. When the servers (there were two since one was training another) came over to take our drink order, it was extremely awkward since they did not introduce themselves; just stood there, smiled and waited for us to say what we'd like.
Not too long after, the first woman who "greeted" us at the door came to our table with one of my friend's drinks. She accidentally dropped his straw on the ground, but instead of picking it up, she said "oh, sorry" and walked away. When we had finished our meals, we decided to sit and chat for a bit before leaving. I happened to notice that our servers saw us still sitting there and were rolling their eyes, and did the same when other customers walked in. In addition, they started stacking chairs at tables around us even though it was nowhere near closing time. Overall all my friends and I got the vibe that the staff were unhappy and that we were a burden to them for being there.
The food and drinks were not bad - I recommend the mint chip milkshake, but it would have been much better if there was better customer service. Cheap food does not mean...
Read moreCame about 2 or so months ago after a good first experience for the second time, did not have the same experience twice. Ordered plenty of food to try a bit of everything. Got served the wrong burger my girlfriend got the wrong things on hers which seemed on par with the servers lack of attention to what we were even saying/ordering. Got served my fish sandwich while waiting for the right burger. First thing I noticed was the smell, that's an issue. Granted some might argue but for a fact fish does not SMELL when it's fresh not rancid like it needs a lesson in personal hygiene. I said to myself this isn't right but I went for it anyway and took a bite, I was immediately angry I got served bad fish. It tasted worse than it smelled, I spit it out and it sat there till my next burger came to which I told the server the fish was awful and tasted terrible. She said she was sorry for that and then left it sitting there as she walked away, I hoped my burger would be good. Bite into the burger and it was the saltiest Ive ever had, it was meant to be a Montreal seasoned burger but tasted like I licked a salt block. Ate less than half and couldn't eat anymore. Got charged for the burger and as an afterthought the waitress/server offered to take the fish sandwich off the bill. Haven't...
Read moreIt's a hamburger joint that should be in the fast food category, except getting your burger isn't fast. The basic unadorned burger is $7. Everything you add such as tomato, onion, cheese, etc., except lettuce, has a price tag on it. The burgers are good, but quite greasy. They're cooked medium and served on a nice roll. However, the place has zero atmosphere. It's neon bright, stark and noisy. For comparison, there's more atmosphere in a McDonald's or Burger King. Burgers and fries are served in a small paperboard tray much like you get when you order fries from a food truck. Fries are much thinner than the typical fast food fries and cooked to just short of burned. They too are greasy. Soft drinks come in a plastic bottle and will set you back about $3 each. Overall, a double burger at McDonalds or BK will serve you better and come at a much lower cost. Our tab for 2 cheeseburgers with tomatoes, onion & pickles, one small fries and two sodas was just short of $30. There are far better options available for...
