Terrible service time and time again nowadays. This past Friday was the last straw and our last visit as were completely disrespected by the manager and the receptionist. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I was treated so rudely by any business. My husband and I have been frequenting Oriental Delight for many years. Probably visit or get delivery 7-10 times a year. We love sushi and they are the closest place with decent sushi. Whenever we eat out we like to sit at the bar as it is more of a social experience. The last several times we have been there the bartenders basically ignored us for 5+ minutes before even acknowledging our presence. Meanwhile, the bar music speakers are low quality and always blare loud music (fairly heavy rock and roll - which is just not conducive to relaxing, eating and socializing). A couple of months ago, we walked out after being ignored for so long. We did it again this past Friday after a grumpy looking bartender passed us by without a glance multiple times. This time, we decided to stop and let the manager know why we were leaving. We asked to see the manager and when he appeared he seemed completely disinterested in talking to us. I let him know in a calm way why this was our second time walking out before ordering. He had no response to the bartender ignoring us, so I also mentioned the loud rock and roll music and he said "it's a Friday night and that's what we do" and I said well, it's not a nice atmosphere for eating and he said "if you don't like the music, then go somewhere that has the music you like, we don't need you here". WOW. Then the receptionist was saying something nearby about "how that was a ridiculous thing to say". I thought she was talking about the manager, but nope it was about what I was saying. I said "don't you want to get feedback about how your customers feel"? and she snapped back "not if it's rude". But I had not been rude, just informative. She said the bartender was super busy. I said "I have been a bartender - it takes zero time to glance at a customer and say 'I'll be with you in a moment, here are some menus while you wait' while you are whizzing by". Sayonara,...

Tried to eat here today. My 9yo son has a chronic illness and a gastronomy tube for nutrition. The pump that moves his liquid formula into his gut wasn't operating well and was beeping loudly every couple of minutes. There were 2 other tables occupied by customers and a couple folks in the bar. One of the employees approached me and told me to turn off the machine. I explained it was a food pump for my kid. He said it was bothering customers as he pointed over his shoulder to a room with a sushi counter.....that was devoid of customers! I commented that I wondered how the ADA would consider the situation. He didn't flinch. Our waiter came with my wife's food - and I told him not to bother bringing my order because I would rather spend my money anywhere else. I was shaking I was so angry. When we left (after paying for my wife's lunch), I asked the guy who told us to turn off the food pump which customers complained (knowing no one did). He just pointed to another employee. I said, "So it didn't bother any customers, just you - and you lied about it?" He said, "Yeah. Sorry. It was hurting my ears. They should have a volume control on that machine." Contemptible behavior!

Fortunately my son didn't pick up on all this as he is developmentally delayed also. He's so sweet and innocent he just smiled through it all.

This place will never get another cent from me. I pray this review will influence others who are, or have loved ones with, disabled/disabilities to...

I have to begin by confessing that I am new to sushi. I have only had the stuff they package up at Hannaford. So I thought would surprise my wife, who loves sushi, by putting in a take-out order. The service was excellent, very friendly people. It took a good 20-25 minutes to prepare my order, which was fine with me because it seems that the sushi chefs take a great deal of pride in their work. The sushi was, quite simply, amazing. It was presented in an artful fashion, and was simply delicious. I'm not sophisticated enough in enjoying sushi yet to try octopus, so most of the rolls I ordered were salmon, tuna, or shrimp. I also very much enjoyed their cooked scallop rolls with a well-made spicy mayonnaise on top. It was fantastic, and has sparked my interest in trying different types of sushi in the future. Grabbed a few of their take-out menus on my way out, so that I can maybe take my wife there for a date night in the future. Either way, I will definitely be back. Highly recommended, deserves more than five starts for the quality of the food and the...

I came here for a late lunch (2pm) and was afraid I'd get older food. That wasn't the case! My soup came out piping hot and the sushi rolls were fresh as expected (all sushi should be made to order!) The service was fast and accurate, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Perhaps I'm an easy guest as it was just me coming for lunch. Overall, excellent place to grab a good bite to eat. I'll be back for a dinner at some point I'm sure! Notice: I do not write reviews based on any request, paid or not. Please stop asking me. The reviews I write are based on real experiences to help real people in their decision process. Lying helps nobody.

Surprisingly wonderful Asian restaurant in a small NH town. Our party ordered Japanese & Chinese dishes; tempura & scallops apps were very good, the sushi was excellent. Teppanyaki sizzling platter was a good size. The breakout best dish was the Singapore noodles, a favourite of mine anyplace yet this was one of the best executions of the dish I've ever had. Very spicy! I would honestly make it back to Dover just to order the Singapore noodles in the future. Great server as well. Strolled through the cute downtown afterwards. Great experience with family during Thanksgiving week.
