Read moreI know times are hard and prices are at an all time high. That being said...$17.00 for half of a cheeseteak! Are you freaking kidding.?!?!? I can get primos or Goombas or Nat's etc-and if they are - if there is a God as...Good as "Nico's - New Britain' " If I'm lucky" For less the price and its just as good...*just as good and definitely better! Oh I apologize for less then the price! Unless. Did I already say that 🤔 they are using wagu beef "no" and handing it to me hot off the griddle with white gloves "no" prices.. ? There is no way, I will ever again pay their for the overly insane inflated prices! I happen to work for a local food distributor and they are taking extreme advantage of their customers! (Doylestown prices) Cut the price!!! sell 4 times as much and it will equal out if not more. Such a shame. Great food, just INSANLY OVERPRICED, LIKE CRAZY OVERPRICED! Good luck to ya'll... With family in town for the holiday, we decided to do a fun pizza tasting of six different pizzas and rate each one based on appearance, crust, sauce, and cheese to see which was the favorite. I was excited to order from Lucatellis because I had heard great things, and everything looked delicious. I ordered the Rip and Dip as an appetizer, a plain pie, and the honey hot pepperoni. When I ordered online, it said the food would be ready in 40 minutes, but it was ready in just 15. I was able to run in and out, which was convenient. The recently renovated restaurant looked beautiful, and they were quite busy.
When I selected the pizzas for our tasting (the two from Lucatellis, a local tomato pie, one from a chain, one from a convenience store, and one frozen), I thought for sure their pizza would be ranked as the best. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I regret not taking a photo until after we had cut the pizza, but you can still see it was overcooked. The center of the crust was mushy, and the cheese was rubbery and didn’t melt well. Even my teenage nephews only took a few bites to complete their rankings and had no interest in eating the rest. Surprisingly, the frozen pizza won by a landslide.
