Crazy good! First of all, I want to make it clear that I do not own this establishment, I don’t know anyone who works there, and I do not get compensated to write this review in anyway. However, I am a well schooled and well traveled person who has eaten all over the world – and it doesn’t get any better than PIZZA VILLAGE! I did some research online to find a good place that was close to the tubing spot (Bucks County River Country) where my friends and I went tubing today. After we went tubing, we came to PIZZA VILLAGE. From the outside~one could easily mistake this place for just your average pizza joint on a strip mall. Oh! But you’d be SOOOOO wrong! Where shall I begin? We were greeted by Stephanie behind the counter, and she was really nice and warm. Then the gentlemen that were making the pizzas were also really nice. We sat down and ordered off the menu. Stephanie made sure we all had a very nice glass of ice water with lemon as we perused the menus. We ordered two garden salads, zucchini sticks, fried calamari, an order of french fries, and a large cheese pan pizza. Stephanie brought us over to show us all the different types and styles of pizzas that they make, and they all looked delicious – yet we went with the pan pizza because it looked like a deep dish style, and it made all our mouths water. The salads were quite large and made with really nice Romain lettuce, all types of veggies, and let me just say that they use the best blue cheese dressing I think I’ve ever had. It had huge chunks of blue cheese in it, and I could’ve eaten it with a spoon. The salads both came with two piping hot croissant shaped dinner rolls which we all devoured because they were off the hook yum! The french fries were cooked deliciously perfect – crispy and light. They even serve the more expensive Heinz Ketchup which doesn’t have the high fructose corn syrup. Nice touch, and much appreciated! The calamari was tender and delicious as was it’s accompanying marinara sauce. Now for the pan pizza…omg! Crust was cooked so perfectly. I’m smiling as I write this just remembering how delicious it was! It was lightly crispy on the undercarriage bottom and yet chewy just the way you want it. The edges around the crust were so frickin’ delicious I couldn’t believe it. The cheese, the sauce, forgetaboutit! I made the comment to my friends that if we were in a five star very expensive restaurant with linen tablecloths and candlelight, and they served this food, we would be absolutely delighted, and yet here it was being served at this very, very reasonably priced down to earth spot. The entire time Stephanie was so attentive and helpful and kind~she is just amazing! So are the guys cooking! We all chatted and all I can tell you is this place is filled with skill and love~need I say more? Frankly, I can’t wait to go tubing again just to come back to PIZZA VILLAGE. I want to try everything on the menu! I noticed a sign that said they serve fish and chips, and I can’t wait to try it – I’m sure it’s going to be delicious! (FYI… My nephew was with us today, and he manages one of the most successful and popular high end restaurants in Philadelphia and he completely agreed that everything was off the charts great at PIZZA VILLAGE!).

2nd UPDATE: Unfortunately, after 3 years of patronizing I don't think I will any longer be a customer. Every other time I order now the quality of the ingredients has gone down and my order is usually either wrong or inedible. The pizza I ordered tonight had SO MUCH cheese on it, literally inedible. The photo is attached, looks like a microwave pizza and if you know their pizza this is NOT up to their standard, or what WAS their standard. Shame I really loved this place three years ago. UPDATE: The last two times I have gotten the Bacon Cheeseburger it has unfortunately not been the same. They changed the patty and it literally looks like 2 Mickey D's patties now. I can't order it anymore unless they change it back! Best takeout in Doylestown. Bacon Cheeseburger w/BBQ Sauce is a sleeper for my favorite burger ANYWHERE...I said it! Cheesesteaks are phenomenal, pizza is excellent. Actually haven't had one bad thing from there and have tried alot.

Due to a short video review of a slice of their Taco pizza right here on Google maps, we gave them a try tonight. The 2 people working the counter when i picked up were kind, personable, and went that extra mile. Based solely on customer service, we'd be back. Now the food: We got the Taco Pizza, Sicilian style. There's an attached picture of the epic cheese pull. The flavors were wonderful. Their dough, or at least the Sicilian, was lighter and airier than we expected and was. The toppings were evenly distributed, and every bite was a consistent bite. You can tell they are diligent in their food preparation. We also got the appetizer sampler. It didn't wow us like the pizza did, but it was a great way to try their appetizers without getting a whole order of each. We'll definitely be getting the Zucchini fries next time, as everyone loved those.

It's pretty standard, but thus pretty good, pizza.

I got a slice of plain and a slice of pepperoni and sausage. It was relatively fast to come out since they were busy making a lot of what I assume were orders. The crust was nice and crispy and the slices were a good size for the cost.

The pepperoni tasted like it was a bit higher quality then you might otherwise find (it had actual flavor and spice). The grease was about average for the slices. The cheese and sauce tasted normal - nothing special, but definitely not bad.

Overall I would say that this is a pretty good pizza place if you're ordering out and not looking for any sort of artisan pizza. It looked like they had a fair amount of specialty pizzas so there is variety, plus other food offerings. I would give it 4.5 if I could, but the only thing stopping me from rounding up to 5 is because I just didn't find a taste of something special - better cheese, better sauce, better dough, or maybe something else. I will, however, be coming back again to try some of their other stuff and hope to revise my rating...
