Came here for the hike and walked around the castle grounds, haven’t done the tour so I can't speak to that but I had a lovely afternoon exploring the woods. It's not huge but there are lots of trails weaving in and out of each other. Don't be afraid of getting lost, just keep walking and you'll wind up back at the castle. Parking: plenty, paved Terrain: dirt hiking trails, woodchips Markings: non-existent but most trails are maintained well enough they're not needed Dog friendly: probably Elevation gain: minimal Length: ~1-2hr 6-12k steps - I walked most paths twice Tick risk: moderate Poison ivy risk: minimal Peopleyness: moderate Natureiness: moderate Maintenance: Good

Great place to spend an afternoon hiking the grounds. This part is free to the public, so you don’t even need to buy tickets to the museum or pay for parking to enjoy the beautiful landscape. There is even a brochure with a map of the grounds on the museum website.

Clean , Serene, and a nice.place.to step back in time and marvel at the thought of what old Doylestown might have looked like. Mature trees line the driveway from the East Court St. Entrance...festive 4th of July event is a must do here during summer.
