The food was average. Definitely not above average and for the price that would've been fine with me because I didn't expect anything spectacular but the service was well below average. This was our first time at aunt Judys and unfortunately I don't think we'll be back to visit our Aunt Judy anytime soon.
We went here for breakfast and the staff seemed pretty dismissive of us. When they took our order they asked if we wanted salt, pepper or ketchup. I asked for ketchup and my GF wanted salt and pepper. I don't know why they ask because they never brought it.
They asked us what type of toast we wanted, white, wheat or rye... I asked for rye and my GF wanted white. It wouldn't be a big deal normally to mess that up, most people could just swap their toast if they mixed up the order but my GF is vegetarian and they put the toast on top of my bacon... So she was stuck with rye bread, which she hates 😂. Sorry babe! Lol they never checked on us, not even once. They were busy when we were leaving, but when we got there, there was only a few other tables... So I can't even excuse the service due to them just being busy. Considering how close we live to this place, it was a big disappointmemt. I'm going to recommend cafe with soul instead, if you're looking for something with better food/service and similar...
Read moreClassic friendly breakfast place! I love it. The kids love it. Grandmom loves it. And With the rest of Doylestown getting so fancy and pricey, it's great to have a classic breakfast place where everything comes out fresh, hot, correct and affordable. To compare our Sunday family bill (myself and 3 hungry teenagers all boys) with Perkins down the street; Perkins is usually $55 + tip. Aunt Judy's for the same meal is $36 + tip. Rarely do they mess up as opposed to Perkins whom for some reason never get a bill right. And waiting for Perkins to correct something like toast means the rest of the meal goes cold while waiting. Once at AJ's I got scrambled instead of sunny side up it was fixed in under 2 minutes! And as busy as these places are on Sunday, AJs just beats most places for friendly, hot, classic breakfast. Plus, I love to go there before work or the gym by myself and always get in and out in under 10 minutes. So I'm glad to write a nice post for them. Hope it helps. Try it...
Read moreIf you want simple no frills fare that's hearty, and served with a genuine smile and friendly attitude, then this place should be on your must check out list. First , you're greeted by a sign that states, "Please seat yourself"...haha! I chuckled because it is a nice change from the usual. Simple decor with walls adorned by white boards prominently displaying the daily specials for both Breakfast and Lunch. I was greeted promptly by the busser and was informed that the server will be with me shortly , and offered to bring me a beverage of my choice. Denise my server was convivial with her demeanor and patiently answered my question about the menu choices. Aunt Judy's stuck with the old approach of no frills, only simple good food served with a warm smile in a neighborhood restaurant; it certainly works as evidenced by the friendly , first name basis interactions that I...
