Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Dr. Phillips

for four and a half weeks in my dreams i’ve been beckoned by this exact golden corral, i have gotten zero sleep and i am living in an actual nightmare. three days ago i finally went to this “golden corral”, i sat in a booth alone my server, andrew immediately told me about how his wife had died miscarrying his daughter and how he didn’t want to work but if he stopped going to work he would starve. after that i grabbed the menu, almost instantly the “Golden Delicious Shrimp” jumped off the page and started dancing infront of me almost of they were trying to speak to me, in my head words started to form “order us”, “order us!”, ”ORDER US!”. when andrew returned he reminisced about his dead wife and then asked me what I would like to order, obviously I requested the shrimp. 20 minutes passed, my mouth began to water, my head pounded, i started to hallucinate, these shrimp were destroying my mental wellbeing. 16 minutes later i saw andrew walking with a plate of luscious, gorgeous, tender looking, golded crusted, shrimp, he was so close to blessing my booth with the presence of the shrimp which had been torturing my mind for weeks but then Andrew along with his selfishness broke down, and dropped my plate of delicious shrimp. the ceramic and germs mixed with my shrimp tainting them, poisoning them, destroying the well put together balence of my shrimp. andrew rushed to the break room crying, only seconds later I heard a bang along with a splatter almost if spaghetti was thrown against the wall, all coming from the break room. 10 minutes later i heard sirens, ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, all parked every which way at the establishment. 30 minutes go by my mental and physical health is obliterated by the absence of shrimp, i begin to grieve as if i had lost everything. the manager comes over to me to reassure that everything is okay and andrew is fine (not that i cared anyway, i just want my gorgeous shrimp). the manager ended up bringing out a replacement plate of shrimp, the plate filled the gaping hole inside of me, all my worry’s drifted away, my head stopped throbing, i stopped sweating. in that moment i became whole, a god amongst men, the shrimp showed me how and i achieved virtual immortality, nothing could step to me. i left a 50% tip, i went home, and i slept for 14 hours. i later was informed by the news station that andrew ended his life that day, due to the overwhelming sadness of losing his whole family, maybe he should’ve given me my shrimp on time.

I’ve travelled the world, I’ve tasted many different cuisines, I’ve ate in many different restaurants, heck, I’ve even ate at Michelin star restaurants. Never, have I had cuisine this mouth watering, the bursting decadence of flavours that the food gives compares to no other. I wish my wife could cook food this good, I would’ve married her a long time ago! At my young age, I must try my best to look after my weight and health but I wish that wasn’t the case because you would find me sitting at a table in this fine establishment everyday through all seasons of the year! Three courses, three…courses! A fine salad selection for all vegans and an even finer main course section with all the carbs your body desires and all different varieties of meat! Hands down, the best chicken pot pie my taste buds have ever tasted and I didn’t even know what bourbon chicken was until I came here but I’m glad I do! A crab salad that the angels themselves have crafted from their very own hands, I could eat this by the gallon. Fried chicken liver, I don’t even like liver but Lordy that chicken liver hits the spot! The corn bread has made a huge impact on my life, my only complaint is that they don’t make enough of it because my god it’s soft, squishy and tickles my tastebuds! Don’t like dry roast beef? Good! Because golden corral doesn’t serve that, go somewhere else! For a man with a sweet tooth, this is heaven, a wide selection of the finest baked goods. One cake and pie wasn’t enough for their menu, no! They have multiple cakes and pies to fulfil your needs! And you know it’s going to be a good day when the pecan pie is available! Forget everything you know about authentic gelato because their ice cream machine produces the finest vanilla and chocolate ice cream ever and watching it flow from the machine into my bowl is more please than watching the Niagara falls hit the body of water under it! Most importantly, what makes this place great are the people that work there, every visit has been a pleasure and my family and I have been treated with respect and love. This Golden Corral Buffet & Grill is very close to Disney, therefore they charge more price than others in other cities that are not close to tourists attractions. My have been here before but we found the foods not that great this time and we're there for the Dinner time. The steak, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms Cheese Soup i enjoyed but we found the rice dishes not cooked fully, still hard to chew and foods that supposed to have enough salt for taste are missing salt in them like the Louisiana Chickens & thick Fries (tasteless) 😬, Corns not sweet at all and the dessert for kids are too sugary and too much synthetic food coloring, unable to taste difference in texture or colors of candy pie dessert. Oh, the biggey is that they refused to share their Wi-Fi with their tourists dine-in buffet customers. When we asked why, the staff said lots of the customers always asked for the Wi-Fi and they think it's because the Restaurant don't want the customers to lingered around for long and hence increased in customers leaving on time. So, for their own tables to be used (higher Turn-Over Rate), they denied customers access to their Wi-Fi. This is ridiculous business decisions because this Restaurant is actually for tourists from outside Florida, which mean those that turn off their data due to outside country reason, would not be able to call Uber for rides, if they're not their with own or rented vehicles. Oh my husband went to talk to one of the managers and explained the situation that we're from Canada, came there via Uber from our World Center Marriott Hotel and we needed to call Uber via WiFi to get back to our Hotel. He was told the same thing that they are not allowed to share Wi-Fi passcode with customers but he should go close to another Restaurant across from them, in the rain because there is a free Wi-Fi without pass code from that Restaurant 🙄😒!
