Simply terrible. We came here because it was listed on Google as China 3 but they had gone out of business and we didn't want to search for somewhere else and decided to give Golden Dynasty "Chinese" a try and that was a HUGE mistake.
The Singapore rice noodles were so salty it tasted like the wet pasta was coated in chicken flavored Ramen salt packets. It was literally inedible. I picked out the chicken, beef, and shrimp and WASHED the noodles in the sink three separate times and reheated them with some fresh water but they couldn't be saved. The texture when I was FINALLY finished was great but only because the rice noodles were hard when I got home. The few chicken pieces and the vegetables were great but the 3 quarter sized sheets of beef were dry like it was cooked that morning and kept under a heat lamp all day and the 3 little shrimp were old.
The fried rice my husband had was made with Indian rice so the texture was all wrong but since the same chicken was used in his the small chicken tidbits were pretty tasty. Despite the colour of the fried rice being pale it wasn't exactly flavorless but it needed ample seasoning once home to make it tasty. The egg rolls had almost no filling and were literally 75% wrapper. There was literally a pocket of wrapper bigger than the tiny pieces of dry mest inside. The cost for the above was nearly $50 and the serving size, while it didn't really matter because most of it couldn't be eaten, was HALF of what an order like that from any average Chinese place would serve. So it was disgusting, small servings, had rude staff that abused their cook, and overpriced to boot.
The white woman that took our order was crude and literally went in back and YELLED at whomever was cooking like a dog. She was terrible to the person in the kitchen. It must have been just 1 person because they seemed overwhelmed by 1 small eat in group of 3 and 2 takeaway orders.
To be fair she did tell the man that come in shortly after us that it would take 20 minutes for his order and he came back in from outside after like 6 minutes and complained that it was taking too long... but... the crude woman began to openly mock the man to another person in the small establishment. That was completely unprofessional. Just because he was a douchbag doesn't mean you should be a douch back and especially in front of your other patrons.
Do. Not. Go. Here. You have...
Read moreBAD EXPERIENCE- if I could give no stars, I would. All the previous negative reviews are absolutely true. I am surprised this restaurant is still in business. The food is sub par at best, but the customer service is horrible! We had an absolutely unpleasant experience. We went to support a Muslim business, but WOULD NOT RECOMMEND to the public. We were the only dine in customers and there was another person there for take out. We ordered 4 dishes and while waiting for our food, could hear the waitress arguing with someone in the kitchen. We received 2 of our dishes and saw the cook come sit down and eat in the restaurant. The waitress went and sat with him and they continued arguing. This created a very uncomfortable situation. After 5 minutes I had to interrupt their heated disagreement and ask about our other 2 dishes, especially since they were sitting in the restaurant and no one was in back cooking. They had no clue about these dishes. We asked for our bill, paid and advised them not to argue in front of customers. I asked the waitress if she was being abused and needed the police to be called. She asked how we liked the food in answer. The food was possibly the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. In this entire interaction the cook continued to sit on a corner table eating his food. He didn’t even look up from his food. I am not sure if these two individuals are the owners, but if they are, they have no interest in this restaurant succeeding. It was an absolutely terrible experience. Please save yourself the trouble and disappointment of going to this establishment. Not...
Read moreFor those of you who went to the first Halal Food Festival at Jama Masjid on Saturday, Dec 3rd – you know that it was such a massive success, that many vendors ran out of food half-way through the event. Those of us who know that their restaurant is just a few blocks away, we headed there as an alternative.
When we walked in were were told it would be an hour wait to be served. We decided that it was worth it to wait, since the food is ALWAYS delicious. Shortly after we sat, the kitchen was so overwhelmed that they could not take any more customer for some time.
As the kitchen was getting low on ingredients and the cooks were exhausted from a full day of servicing the Food Festival and the restaurant’s dine in customers – I have to commend the amazing job that Ali (I think that was the name of the head cook) and his kitchen staff did. After waiting for a bit, the food that came out, was as always, amazing; hot, fresh, flavorful and so yummy. The quality & taste was exactly what we have come to know and love about Golden Dynasty.. It was heaven-sent after a few hours of walking around the festival.
Also noteworthy was Daphney. I think she was a food runner or waitress… not sure. She was so lovely and kind in dealing with some of the frustrated customers that had to be turned away. Her customer service skills were above and beyond, what I can only assume was a tremendously busy day for all. Her tone and demeanor was calm and professional to all of the customers and she always kept a smile on her face.
For the brother who is the owner… take note of Ali & Daphney… they...
