An update on the latest management at this location: As I was coming into this store to buy a refill of vanilla syrup for my husband's Verismo, I thought that since I had my 360° camera with me, I would take it out of my pocket and ask the manager if I could take a 360° view of the inside of the store to upload to their location on Maps. But as soon as I took out my camera (not yet powered on, and couldn't possibly have been turned on so fast), the manager on duty this evening saw the camera and immediately yelled - actually yelled - at me to power it down, threatening me as to what could happen to me for taking pictures inside, before I even had the chance to ask his permission. He even had the audacity to demand I stop filming. My camera was in its bag by this point, and my phone never came out of my pocket, so I have no idea where he got the impression I was filming him. Anyway, as I was apologizing, and attempting to explain to him that it was for Google Maps and would do nothing but good for this store, he was still yelling at me! I still asked the two baristas if I could buy what I had come in there for, and instead of giving me an answer, they both walked up to him and he denied my purchase, speaking to me like garbage. I wasn't the only customer in the store as this was happening either. This is not how a manager acts, nor how a human treats another human.
I come by here often to pick up Coffee Grounds throughout the summer, which are excellent at conditioning Florida's rather poor soil just the way I need it for my tropical fruiting/flowering trees and plants. But I also come at different times of the year for seasonal drinks that Starbucks is so well known for. I myself have never had a problem with the service at this place. Not a single member of the staff has ever shown me attitude nor has anyone ever ignored me or messed up an order. There is a drive-thru here, however I have never used it so I can't speculate on it. This place is rather new; it has a very cool modern design, and is in a small strip mall with a really cool and unique pizza place, a gift shop for tourists - I'm assuming since it is situated directly across the street from SeaWorld - and there's also a few other restaurants. Now, I mention the proximity to SeaWorld because of the view you have (from the tables out front and from inside through the 20-foot tall windows) from this particular Starbucks is simply amazing; it has both the fun and the tropical sides of Orlando combined into one! You are so close to SeaWorld that you can not just see the roller coasters in good detail, if you're sitting at a table on the outdoor patio you can hear the laughter and screams of the riders on...
Read moreIn all honesty I am extermely dissapointed with this starbucks this is my second time here and both times I’ve been here I havenot been very happy with the quality of this location. I am a fanatic and always look to starbucks to keep me fueled for my long work days. I usually order from my mobile app but unfortunately my phone was acting up. I went in and ordered a grande iced coffee, 4 pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup and a regular amount of almond milk, and told the gentleman my name and spelling(a nickname- Cat). After waiting patiently for my order my mood had been completely ruined by poor quality coffee. What i recieved was amost purely water, I then asked the person who called my name if there was any almond milk and she then proceeded to add more. Upon leaving I tried my drink and realized not only was what I had recieved pure water, and now regular almond milk but there were not four pumps of the sugar free vanilla syrup in fact at the maximum there were maybe two and on top of everything else to make matters worst there was absolutely ALMOST NO COFFEE. Which is the whole point of $4 coffee, coffee. In addition to this not that it is a big deal or anything but even after saying my name was Cat, with a C my name was still spelled wrong and the label on my coffee was light almond milk and just sf vanilla syrup without any of the specifications asked for. Unfortunately with it being a busy location and waiting approximately 15-20 min to order and recieve my coffee I was already running very late for work and was not able to speak with someone about the poor quality of my drink. After giving this location a second try I continue to be dissapointed and would definately not recommend this...
Read more-Excellent beverages and service -Extremely slow internet speeds -Better internet available at nearby fast-food restaurants
TL;DR: Although the beverage and service were great, the internet speed was disappointingly slow. I recommend visiting the McDonald's at Williamsburg Commons for a better Wi-Fi experience.
The beverage I ordered was good, and the service was perfect. However, the internet speed was embarrassingly bad. I came here to enjoy a coffee and relax for about 30 minutes, but I was met with subpar internet speeds, far below those of fast-food restaurants in the area. I ran multiple Speedtest tests and found that download speeds ranged from 1.5 to 1.9 Mbps, and upload speeds were between 1.25 and 1.5 Mbps. The ping was decent, at 87/37/33 ms.
It seems like either the café is throttling their internet speeds for customers, or they are not getting the service they're paying for, as they use Spectrum Business. The lowest tier internet through Spectrum Business provides 400 Mbps without throttling, although vendors might still throttle for their customers. In any case, the café should offer usable internet – 1 Mbps was acceptable back in 2003, but consumer expectations have changed, and 5-10 Mbps should now...
