This was the most ridiculous visit I have had at a restaurant in quite some time. When we were seated the restaurant was near empty, there were two other (small) tables. It took about 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order. We went ahead and placed our dinner order at the same time. We ordered 4 salads, two soups and three kids meals. We waited for an hour and fifteen minutes for our food. Our drinks had been refilled one time with no mention of how soon our food would be out. When our food finally arrived, the onion rings and egg on top of the salads were cold and the onion was soaked in grease. My salad didn’t have any dressing and I had to ask THREE times for someone to bring me dressing. No one checked back after that to make sure everything was okay. Neither of my kids could eat their butter and Parmesan cheese noodles because it was cold, the butter was cold and the pasta had a funky taste. We expressed our frustration to two different managers and nothing was done about it. After waiting fo far too long without sight of our server or the managers I had to go and find a manager to express our frustration and request our checks. The manager returned close to 15 minutes later with our checks where she removed 30% of the cost. I honestly think that was not enough. We had poor service, half of the food was inedible and we waited well over an hour for SALADS!!! Two of the meals weren’t edible!!! I guess this restaurant doesn’t have to rely on return customers because it is in a hotel but the whole thing was horrible. I don’t blame the server but she is now making less money because of an incompetent management staff. We will not ever eat here again if we stay...
Read moreI recently dined at Trade Winds, located at the Renaissance at SeaWorld in Orlando, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, leading me to give it a two-star rating.
The primary issue was with the food’s quality, particularly the fish and chips, which were a major letdown. The dish was extremely oily to the point of being inedible. I found myself needing to ask for extra napkins just to soak up the excessive oil, which is not something I expected to do at a restaurant of this caliber.
Additionally, I ordered the grilled cheese, hoping for a better experience, but it too was disappointingly oily. The excessive greasiness overwhelmed the flavors and dampened my taste buds, detracting significantly from the enjoyment of the meal.
The aftermath of consuming such oily food was feeling unwell, which further impacted my dining experience negatively. While I appreciate the restaurant’s ambiance and location, the food quality on this occasion was not up to standard. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the culinary experience for...
Read moreI have to give a huge shout out to the staff at Tradewinds Restaurant at Renaissance Orlando Sea World. Having a child with multiple allergies makes it really hard to eat out and we have never been anywhere that has been so incredibly helpful and accommodating. Everyone from our server Ana, the sous chef Zuleika, and the executive chef Billy Brown went above and beyond to serve us. I was well prepared to find some plain oatmeal and some fruit that my 8 year old with allergies could eat as our options for him are usually extremely limited at breakfast buffets. Before I knew it they were bringing out a feast for him that they made in the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. Seeing his little eyes widen when he found out he could have pancakes (egg and dairy free) in a restaurant for the first time made my mama heart so happy! 💜 You made my 8-year old's day. Everything was delicious and their genuine kindness and hospitality was greatly...
