PSA: "McGriddles" means 1 sandwich. It's a sandwich made with 2 pieces of mcgriddle bread. So, if you see a deal with 2 sandwiches and a coffee pictured that says McGriddles & an iced coffee, don't think you're going to receive two sandwiches.
The gist of the following is that there was a miscommunication between a drive-through employee and a customer, and when the miscommunication was discovered and understood by both parties, the manager was curt and rude to the customer. Read on for details.
I ordered the aforementioned deal, asked the drive-through employee if I could get 2 different flavors -- one with bacon and the other with sausage, and was told "oh no, it's only one." I said "ah, ok, you can't mix and match the flavors" "no, you just get one" "yeah, ok, I'll do bacon then."
Maybe at this point, you think I should have understood. I didnt. I still thought we were still talking flavors and that I was getting 2 sandwiches.
The employee knew I was getting one must have thought she adequately explained that.
She didn't say, do you still want to order a 2nd one? Or, do you still want to use this deal (considering you get half as much food)? She didn't say, is your order right on the screen?
So I paid, received 1 sandwich and a coffee, and drove away.
Upon realizing I only received one sandwich, I turned around thinking they made an error and forgot one sandwich.
I drove back, waited in line again, shared what I had experienced, and asked for the missing sandwich. The (same) employee told me I didn't understand the deal and it was only for one sandwich. I shared how the app says McGriddles, plural, and pictures two sandwiches with one coffee, and how I had verbally said I was expected i was getting 2 sandwiches. The employee said that she told me it's only one. At this point, I realized the misunderstanding between flavor quantity and sandwich quantity. I shared how I felt my money should not have been accepted when i didn't receive what I thought I paid for. I asked for the other sandwich but she said she couldn't give it to me, so I asked if I could ask the manager.
I continued waiting in line, and when I pulled up to the window to calmly explain the misunderstanding and to find out what could be done, the manager was curt, aggressive, and unapologetic towards me. Zero accountability was taken by the restaurant. Zero apology was made. No professional courtesy of "I am sorry there was a misunderstanding. My employee has told me how she attempted to clarify the app deal. I can see how the corporate photo may be misleading and how it may be confusing that 'McGriddles' is singular. I would like to resolve this and ensure your repeat business." Instead, she acted like I was stupid and trying to scam them. She refused to make any sort of apology or offer any solution. She was curt, completely unapologetic, and made me (a regular customer, a low-income mom with PPD, a fellow human) feel terrible.
This experience was 1 star. Previous experiences have been an average of 4 stars. Rating 2 stars because of previous positive experience and because I did finally receive a refund. I returned what I had received, untouched. I left crying and still hungry, now with no food, and no precious, little personal time left.
I don't go here anymore. It bums me out every day when I drive by. I'd return if I knew that...
Read moreSo I used to work at this McDonald’s location 7-8 years ago and it seemed like there were more quality people being hired then. I went through the drive thru in the evening around 9:50 and it took about a minute or two of being greeted, then as I approached the window, the employee didn’t greet me just said my total. I gave him the rounded amount to the next dollar and started a different order on his headset. He didn’t give me the change or receipt and didn’t acknowledge that I was waiting. Then he walks away so then I proceeded to the next window and the manager on duty asked if I needed sauce and I told her that I didn’t get my change or receipt. So she goes and I don’t see her for 2-3 minutes so then I just told the closest employee to tell the manager forget it. Pretty disappointed in the service, usually I forgive but I don’t know at this point. I get it they need people but some of the quality of employees they hired is...
Read moreEmployees are rude and the manager at night with a fohawk also doesn't care at all, I asked for my coffee with cream and sugar on the side and the lady lied and Said she put it inside when I specifically asked for cream and sugar on the side , I tried my coffee and it was plain so I had to ask for my creamer and sugars again and she ignored me thinking I would leave with a plain coffee and she opens the window rude and is mad I asked for creamer and sugar and to top it off I didn't get my barbecue sauce and my cheeseburgers were given to me plain for no reason , I would never recommend this Place , and I can see by the reviews that multiple people experience the same thing. This mcdonalds is a joke to say the least and the workers are 30 years or older and still angry and can't give us what we PAY for , if I could I'd give it zero stars I would but my experience here has always been bad and I've always gave this place...
