If I could, I would have given negative stars.
A little more than a month ago, I purchased an ESPRO P7 32 oz. French press, and realized afterwards without ever using it that it was NOT vacuum insulated (the store did not have a box along with it).
I have NEVER returned an item in Starbucks before. And today I went to this store where I made the original purchase to avoid any potential hassle. Unfortunately, what I ended up getting was more hassle!
Upon presenting the original receipt, the barista did not know what to do, so she asked her manager/supervisor, and then she came back and told me "since it is over a certain amount, I can only put it back to your debit card". I told her that I NEVER had a debit card. Then she told me it has to be pit back to the credit card. I asked why can't they just put it onto my Starbucks app, which I used to make the purchase. She went on asking me how can I not have a debit card and reload my Starbucks account. That's none of her business and she should have known the answer, which is a customer can also reload it by using cash or PayPal, which I patiently explained.
Amazingly, the manager/supervisor came and told me I have to call 1-800-LATTE37 and talk to customer service, so they can direct me to a store and get a refund. I knew instantly this is total BS! The purchase was within 60 days and I presented the original receipt, it's the policy and yet they refused to honor it!
And in the past, I tried to exchange same valued items and was unable to do so. They just claimed they cannot do it, which I later found out was a lie! Because I was able to do this in other branches.
I later went to the branch on Foothill/Todd, and Megan easily solved the problem for me. will NEVER set foot in this store again! And I will continue supporting...
Read moreThe only Starbucks I have ever given stars to or bothered to write a review. Went here yesterday for the first time because a friend of mine was meeting with some work associates in Duarte (we're from Vegas), and I brought my dog. Got my order and went outside to read. Even though my dog had water and a water bowl, staff came outside offering water for the dog twice (since I was there I assume between the morning and afternoon shift). They also provided "puppy frap", which is just whipped cream for the dog at no charge. While I was there, someone bought a cheese and fruit plate, and tripped as soon as they walked out the door. The guy was able to go back inside and get it replaced for free and without fuss.
In my experience at all the Starbucks I've been to, everywhere from Seattle through to Colorado, this one was by far the most pleasant, polite, and service oriented. Whatever the management and staff is doing, I was impressed with how it worked in regards to...
Read moreMy visits to this particular Starbucks location is becoming unsanitary. Everytime I am handed my drink. They fail to hold my cup at the bottom or sides. They have their entire hand wrapped around the top where my mouth go and no gloves. The employees are nice and my drink was what I ordered. But the person who handed my drink the wrong way from the top also had on a black t shirt and you could see dandruff all on the front of his shirt. Granted he may have a skin condition that leaves flakes but its unsanitary to be putting a customers drink top on standing over their drink with that type of flakes on your shirt and placing your hands around the rim where they're suppose to drink from. I wanted to call but just decided to write a review because I dont want anything other than for them to check their employees grooming and pull them aside and...
