UPDATE 12/07/22:
What is with this store and its manager? Extremely rude customer service again. I actually think these folks remembered my family from my experience below. Horrible. We tried to give this place a second change, but NEVER again. Corporate, if you're reading this, contact me and I can share details. Horrible customer service. We came in early, right when they opened to find the manager walking down the line checking the temperatures of the prepared food. This caught my eye considering I've never been to a Chipotle right when they opened and was curious to see how they handle "sanitizing" the temp prong as they went down the line.
My children have severe food allergies, and my wife is vegetarian. It's important for me to know if there are any cross contamination.
To my surprise, all that was done after each temp check pass was (check food, wipe with chipotle napkin, check food, wipe with chipotle napkin - yes the brown napkins you use when you dine there).
I figured new napkins would be used after each pass, or maybe even a towel with some type of sanitation solution, but no, just the one napkin that continued to get more and more saturated with beans/meat/sour cream, etc. has she moved down the line. At this point, I stopped her to ask her if that was the normal way they went about checking the food.
The manager (who will remain nameless primarily because she insisted "NO, I DONT HAVE TO GIVE YOU MY NAME AT ALL. WE DONT WEAR NAME TAGS, AND I DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU MY NAME." (Echo: worker in the back / cashier also informs me that "THEY DONT HAVE TO TELL ME THEIR NAMES AT ALL". His name was Daniel, it's on the receipt.......
So, I asked again, if this was normal for all Chipotles to check their food and wipe down their temp prong with a reused Chipotle napkin and she INSISTED that was policy. Curious and frustrated, my wife and I informed them we'd contact Corporate because things just didnt sound right and to be honest, they were starting to be downright rude.
This all followed with comments like:
Manager: Go ahead and do what you have to do and call Corporate. There are several OTHER restaurants in this shopping center that have Vegetarian options, if you don't like how we operate, you can take your business there.
Horrible, just horrible customer service...
UPDATE:
I called corporate as soon as we left, and they were extremely kind and understanding. They also informed me that the way they were going about checking the food and sanitizing the temp prong was NOT the way Chipotle conducted business. They also informed me that the way the Manager and staff handled the situation is NOT something Chipotle stands by or allows. Corporate ended up taking care of our bill (They didn't have to do that, but that was classy of them). I asked corporate if someone could get back in touch with me to verify the process they use when checking the food in the mornings because again (cross contamination).
Shortly after, I got a call from Chipotle's area manager. Incredibly understanding and was apologetic about the situation. She Confirmed for me that the way Chipotle handles checking food is done with various cleaning cloths and sanitation solutions - and again - the way this location handled checking the food when I was there was incorrect. This was a huge relief.
Again, HORRIBLE experience, but I'll add that Corporate and the area manager were awesome. I'll reconsider going back to this location as the area manager did inform me that this situation would be addressed immediately.
I'll update my review if we try this location...
Read moreIt’s unfortunate how bad this location has gotten. Seems every time I go my burrito bowls are always left 2/3 empty.Absolutely no quality control. I have noticed it’s almost always the same person making the food that seems to rather be doing anything but working and it shows. When you give him the order he has to ask you again and again if you want this or that and when you say yes he won’t add it and if you say no he will add it. I don’t know if he has a drug problem or just hates his job but it’s getting quite annoying to spend so much money for each meal and end up with a nearly empty bowl every time and still hungry. I’ve noticed sometimes other workers seem very irritated with this guy (younger, Asian male, hair cut just above the ear, maybe 17-18 years old and a total space cadet) also and sometimes if they aren’t busy they’ll go back down the line and correct the food but it happens less and less. There are several other workers who do the same and it doesn’t seem like there are any managers around making sure these workers are properly trained and using the carefully sized measuring spoons correctly. I’ve noticed several other customers complaining lately, along with myself. I don’t know that I’ll be going back anytime soon and my family eats there at least 6 days a week for one meal or another due to...
Read moreSomething is definitely wrong with this location, while their staff are pretty kind and friendly, they just don't seem to get that a customer does not want their food to spill out of the containers, all over the ground or their vehicle.
The food container didn't hold the ingredients of the bowl I ordered, it all leaked right through to the bag, which almost ended up breaking, it was just a huge soppy not so fun mess. ☹️
Some of their customers don't know how to respect other customers dining experience. More times than not, I am often ridiculed or given dirty looks. Not sure why, I'm just trying to eat like everyone else.
I understand, restaurants can't control who they attract, but customers mistreating other customers is just not right, especially when the bullying customers are pre-teen girls. Whoever is teaching these young girls that its okay to mock, is teaching them how...
