Update: Unfortunately, I can't really support this store when it comes to new Pokemon TCG products anymore. I was optimistic when the Prismatic ETBs came out, as they were limiting two per person. Today, however, I asked about Destined Rivals and was informed they got their allocation early and were already selling it because they were a Pokemon partner store- selling it for $10, which is about 2x MSRP (limit of 10.) They also sometimes have Pokemon 151 packs... for $15 each! 3x MSRP! Supposedly this is because they are "getting them from the secondary market," per the staff member. To me, that sounds like they are buying from scalpers and further boosting the prices to make up the difference. I respect that local card stores need to make a buck, and this is the option this store has chosen. That said, it's not a model that I'm interested in supporting. They have a good amount of bulk to pick through, so I'll stick with that. But I can't contribute to the exorbitant prices of new packs. If you're good with their model, go for it.

Previous review: Very friendly game shop with good selection of board games, card packs (Magic, Pokemon, etc,) Warhammer, model paints, comic books, and fantasy genre novels. You can't beat friendly service. Glad I came here to support a local game shop instead of a...

THIS PLACE HAS SCAMMED ME AND TAKEN MY CARD. Over a year ago (July 17th 2023) I sent in a $300+ card (Regirock Goldstar) to be graded in person. To this date I have called numerous times in attempt to get my card or money back in which the owner, Kerry has said he couldn’t do. They also told me that PSA at times takes several months (up to 6-7) to receive cards back which turned out to be a complete lie since they didn’t even submit my card since they lost it in storage (explained later.) I’ve even asked for receipts and documentation that my card has been sent in and the owner has stated they’re at his house which he is not able to access. 5 months after the original send in date they said they found the card again in storage and said it hadn’t been sent in, which they proceeded to ‘send in’ without my knowing (I’m sure they still haven’t been sent in and my card might’ve been sold by now.) This experience has happened to TWO of my friends as well as me. I used to support this shop but now I’m absolutely outraged at what has happened. Please raise awareness to any new visitors as this scam has been fairly obvious and I have yet to find a solution.

So this is a sad review to write. KKG had a lot of promise, but now the prices are high and I’ve had a few awkward exchanges that have changed my opinion . I was a big fan of this store and they had some of the best prices when it came to Magic. I was brought in by the owner and hearing his story, but over the past 3 to 4 months just some really funky things have been happening and I’m probably not gonna shop here anymore.

For one, some of his staff arranged a walk through picket strike during a pre-release, which was by far the most disruptive pre-release I’ve ever been to. I don’t know who is in the right in that one but, honestly, it should be on the owner to make sure things run smoothly.

Second, the prices are absolutely the highest in all the tri valley area. There is “Support your local game store prices“ and then there’s just scalping. Unfortunately, it’s tending to the...

As I was coming off theI-680 freeway southbound I took the exit to Dublin. As was surprised to see a comic book shop. I did my other errands, then headed over to find out more. Sorry, hours posted not so easy to read. Anyhow, the store has gaming area; lots of model building (I am sure it is called something else); tournaments; comics and board games. I was looking at a birding game (great for rainy days), but at $50.00 must review to see if worth the investment. If you are looking for a local shop that is relatively new, do check it out. Then post your own review and let me know. They did offer me help, but since it was my first time I was just exploring, but thanked them just the same.
