Me And My Dog — Local services in Duluth

I’ve been going to Me and my dog for as long as I can remember. I loved their grooming service as they did a great job cutting all my dogs fur. One of my pups, Mimi (5lb Maltese), does not like to be groomed and can be a difficult dog to groom. Knowing this when they initially told me that they had to charge me an extra $5-$10 I complied. Yesterday my mom took Mimi to Me and My Dog and when she went to go pick her up she told her that she would have to charge an extra $20 for Mimi from now on because she was difficult. That means that now I’d be paying $70 + tip for my dogs grooming which I find to be quite ridiculous. How does it go from an extra $5-$10 to $20 more for each grooming? I feel like this is their way of uncharging customers. Also, while Mimi was at Me and My Dog, I’m assuming that they left Mimi in her carrier while they were working on other dogs and Mimi had pooped in her carrier and had smudged it all over inside because who knows how long they kept her in there without checking up on her. After her haircut my mom had gone to pick her up and two ladies came out with Mimi and the carrier and they told my mom that they didn’t clean the carrier which she has spoiled and also did not even offer any paper towels/wet tissues so that my mom could clean it herself. My mom then asked for some wet tissues which they said they didn’t have any so she saw some paper towels and asked for some to be wet so that she could clean it herself so that she could take Mimi home. After she cleaned the carrier my mom was paying for Mimi’s grooming and on the way out the employee had told my mom that they will no longer accept Mimi as one of their customers. Being such a loyal customer to this place for YEARS, I can’t even begin to understand the rudeness and unprofessionalism they displayed yesterday. I will not be returning to this place ever again. I’d advise everyone who goes there that extra “fees” for your dog being difficult is just their way of...

I reside in Atlanta, and the journey to Me and My Dog typically takes about 45 minutes. I've been bringing my two dogs to this establishment for over seven years and feel lucky to have discovered it. The groomers have been there for a long time and consistently provide excellent service to my dogs. They receive a thorough bath, grooming, hair brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and one of my dogs even gets her ears colored. I adore how they look after the grooming, and their appearance is so impressive that I receive compliments every five minutes when walking them. First time customer - took my yorkie here and asked for a trim on his body but they just shaved him completely with the exception of his head and the top part of his tail. His skin is red in certain places where they cut off too much hair and there are also places where you can see the clipper marks. They mentioned that he didn’t enjoy grooming but that doesn’t mean you can completely shave the dog! Also, the tail looks ridiculous - there’s a tuft of hair on the top and it looks awful.
