I've been here twice now. Enjoyed both visits. Got the Pho Tom each time. I will note a few things. The first visit the pho had water chestnuts in it which was amazing but today it did not which was a bummer. They added a nice unique crunch to the pho the first time and wished it had been there today. On the other hand, there were more shrimp this time so both visits were enjoyable. I'd rate 4 Stars instead of 5 simply bc I guess at this point I'm not sure what the pho would have in it the next time I'd go but if they read this, bring back the water chestnuts please! Lol. Both times the service was excellent. Always being checked on etc. I personally prefer to be left be while eating but understand most people like being checked on and attended to so I'd give them 5 stars in that department for sure. Atmosphere is a work in progress as they're remodeling but it's pleasant inside. The first visit they had some nice relaxing music playing but I didn't notice it this time. Still, the place is cute and you can tell they're putting a lot of effort into it. I'd say every menu item could probably shave a $1 off but you know how overpriced everything in Duluth is so I guess it's standard but could give them a leg up over the other pho place in town since often people have to pay for parking to go here and that always stings as it is and a slightly lower price might alleviate that. Idk. Just a thought. I do hope this place is successful as the food is good and the staff...
Read moreI've been coming to Duluth for years and staying in Canal Park, and like many frequent visitors and locals, was disappointed with the rebrand of a Duluth classic that was Taste of Saigon. Not exactly sure why the new owners did this, but had to give it a try. I was very pleased that the new owners decided to keep some food from the old menu, and I really encourage them to add some more of those things, because Taste of Saigon had excellent stir fry and Vietnamese food. All that considered, I caught them on a bad night and the food took quite some time due to them running out of items (a good problem to have I suppose!). The owners were very apologetic, and seemed to be decent people working very hard. We got pho and some of the old stuff from the Taste of Saigon menu. The old menu stuff was just as delicious as I remember it (particularly the stir fry), portions were a bit smaller. The pho was fantastic as well.
I'd recommend this restaurant. I would encourage them to continue to add more Saigon items to their menu, and to feel confident in their pho. I think once they get settled in, they will do just fine and carry on a tradition of good food...
Read moreThe atmosphere still retain its previous predecessor, The Taste of Saigon. I only there minimally, most went to dine in for a good bowl of Pho! And I heard of the new title and decided to check it out. I am pleased to see and still get to taste a wonderful quality and much time spent prepping the Pho and its ingredients! 👌 May the previous owners have a wonderful retirement! Thank you for making at least mine if not many’s experience there well kept and authentic to the cuisines you bring and passed down to share! May the title Pho’licious continue with the amazing quality of quantity of atmosphere and cuisine of eastern culture. Thank you! 😊 I enjoy the delicate sweet & sour chicken with the fried rice, the fried rice is not too bland, yet not to overload in seasoning. It’s just right! As for the Beef Flank Pho I order as well, it can never go wrong during the winter time or morning to eat. I gladly would love...
