I took a class to make a memorial night light using a loved one’s ashes. I was a bit nervous to be hands on because I’d never done this sort of thing before, it’s really hot, and I didn’t want to screw up this very important piece of artwork. Jake was amazingly knowledgeable and steady and helped me create something truly special and beautiful. I was signed up for the class a few months prior but had to cancel due to my daughter being sick and I had thought about just dropping the ashes off to have the piece made and they convinced me it would be really special to be able to be a part of the process and I am really glad that I did wait and take the class because it really did make it even more special to have a hand in crafting this special piece. I also spent some time checking out their other glass artwork and there are many things I’d like to take home. I especially loved the hanging vases, the glass rubber ducks, and the fruit fly trap. I’ll be back in another trip to Duluth to stop in and make another purchase. Stop in and check them out or...
Read moreWe are in the process of remodeling our Duluth home and loved the idea of having a local outfit create our kitchen pendants for us. We reached out to Superior Glass once via email. After 2 weeks of not receiving a response, I called. The person I talked to was very kind and apologized. They told me they would mark my previous email as urgent and that the artist would be back in two weeks and would email me back. We never heard back. :( We were SO excited to have Lake Superior Glass create our pendants for us. They do beautiful work. Unfortunately, due to their lack of interest, we’ve been forced to take our business elsewhere. We’re definitely bummed, but still love the beautiful...

Even if you’ve never thought about working glass, or the idea of handling molten materials intimidates you, let me assure you the good folks at LS Art Glass will be more than happy to guide you.
We worked with a friendly, unassuming gentleman who we found out later was the owner; we couldn’t be more pleased with the framework class we took from him.
All of the staff were courteous, professional and absolutely thrilled to point out, demonstrate, and discuss any and all aspects of glasswork.
My impression is that you’d be able to get years worth of information in hours if you had the ability to retain and process all the information they’re more than happy to put in front of you.
Definitely plan to return - the class was well worth the price...
