We stayed at the Endion from July 2-4th 2023 in room #2, and cannot say enough wonderful things about this gem. First of all the location is prime. It is located right beside canal park lodge and on the boardwalk area beside the lakewalk. There is assigned parking for each room and you can walk everywhere you need to have a fabulous time. Rooms #1 use the same entrance door and #3,#4,#5 share the other entrance door. Room #1 faces the outdoor firepit. There's a barrel sauna on the deck which we used daily. It takes a bit to warm up but is a very nice addition to have. There's also multiple seating areas on the deck and a cornhole game to play. This building is full of charm and character, however it is a very old building. Old buildings are very loud and I definitely would not recommend staying here with small children if you are worried about them sleeping. Especially not on the July long weekend. This noise did not bother us at all because if you're staying in canal park you should know it's noisy. There's a noise restriction at 10pm so if you're out at the firepit past that time you literally have to whisper to each other because room #1's windows face it. Our room itself was very spacious, vaulted ceilings, lots of windows,rustic/modern decor. It was very bright every morning even with the blinds down. The AC worked great, we had no issues with the tv, shower water pressure, fridge or microwave. There were 4 coupons for free draft beer as a welcome gift which I thought was a nice idea but unfortunately we ran out of time. Checking in and checking out virtually were very easy to do. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who loves staying...
Read moreMy partner and I loved our 2-night stay at the Endion Station Inn! It was lovely to be right on the harbor and within the bounds of bustling Canal Park. The decor in our room was rustic and masculine, and we loved the way the depot's unique character was allowed to shine through the furnishings. I loved the contactless check-in/out--it was quick, easy, and secure, and inn staff were immediately responsive when we did need to contact them upon check-out.
My only criticism would be that, being a historic building, the walls are not exactly soundproof. I don't mind that at all--you run that risk when you're dealing with an older building, and in my opinion it's well worth it--but I would suggest that management require guests to observe quiet hours at night. Our neighbors were pretty rowdy into the early hours of the morning during our weekday stay and I almost got to the point of knocking on their door and asking them to quiet down (which took a lot because I typically am not a fan of confrontation). Aside from that, I really enjoyed my experience and would...
Read moreAmazing location. The sauna was a delight. The rooms are fine, although both the bed and couch in room 2 weren’t terribly comfortable. The biggest issue is the amazingly thin walls. You can hear everything that is said in room 1 and it will sound like the upstairs guests are tap dancing. Room 1 came in drunk and it was like they were standing right next to my bed from the foyer. We then heard their entire drunken conversation for the next hour. Just as we were about to knock and ask them to quiet down, we could clearly hear them talking about going to bed. So, problem solved. I would stay here again, but I would really recommend to the owners to try to fix the noise. Tough in an old building, but it’s the one huge drawback. Also, you better love who you’re rooming with, because the bathroom is not very private, noise-wise, either. Cool place, great location,...
