Buffet King — Restaurant in Duncan

This was my first time to eat at this place. I had heard that the place is nice, the food was good, and had a variety of food to choose from. The employees were nice; quite but professional. After looking at the various food buffet I finally choose what I wanted to get. First, I got the fried fish, okra, and buttered potatoes. The fish was good except it was spicy. Does this place not offer ketchup? Afterwards, I got a second helping of food, this time getting beef with broccoli and rice. When trying to scoop up some rice, it was dried and sticking together. I managed to get some rice, but after putting the beef with broccoli on it (i was hoping the rice would not be mushy but it was ): ), the rice did not look good. Also, the 2 plates of food that I got that was under the warmer was not warm at all; the food was cold by the time I got to my seat. I also noticed there knives. How is someone supposed to cut their meat? The atmosphere was quite, but could use some music. As we were leaving, we stopped to look at the water fountain that had koi fish in it. I like koi fish! But, what we saw was not good. There were several cords to this water feature connected to the main component that operates the waterfall and to the machine to give oxygen to the fish, and all the cords are very close to the water. The machine that operates the waterfall, if it falls in, it could be catastrophic!!! I would give 5 stars, but with waterfall situation, food not being warm, no knives, and no ketchup (I like ketchup on my fish, please), 3 stars is all I'm...

Don't know what to do but start with a review. Last week around this same time may have been Friday. I came in to eat and found a bug in my food. I discreetly got the waitresses attention. They then tried to tell me it was the digestive track from the shrimp. I am very aware of what that is. This had antenna and legs. I was made to feel like I was trying to scam a free meal. I then went in again this wéekend against my better judgement but was looking for quick and haven't had issues but the one. So I would give them another shot. This afternoon what did I find cardboard blended in with the sauteed mushrooms. I brought it to there attention. When I left I asked myself what was that from what if I get sick. I then went to ask for a number politely for someone to contact about the issues. The front lady then again made me feel like I was trying to get a free meal. I had and have no problem paying for my meals. I don't do that. I don't know who to contact but that's foreign objects in my food on a buffet setting two weeks in a row. Some one needs to investigate the cleanliness and food handling procedures of this...

Generally we have a fairly decent experience here. Considering it's the only Chinese buffet in our area, our options are limited. Today, however, the waitress we had was extremely rude. She snatched a plate out of my son's hand, she refused to refill drinks, when she decided to go ahead and refill our drinks she rolled her eyes like it was such a burden for her to have to do, when we were getting up to leave she was rushing us away from the table, I understand it was busy, and that she probably was just tired so I don't hold it against her, I just don't understand why she was so rude, like did we do something to her that I just missed?? When I paid for our meal, I told the person, who was also rude, I didn't mean to interfere with her conversation she was having on her phone. I paid and informed her that the waitress was extremely rude and she just looked at me, like it really didn't matter. We'll go back I'm sure, today's experience, however, was not the best...
