The food was really good. The only reason why they are getting a 4/5 stars is because of the hostess that was working today (8/14). She was not friendly and she had a bit of an attitude towards me and my friend (who have never been there before). It started when we walked in. The place was like 25% full and she wanted to seat us at a table in the middle of the room when there were many booths available. I asked her if we can get a booth and that’s when the attitude started. She huffed but agreed and sat us in a booth. I even told my friend why she was acting like that and why she would seat us in the middle of the room? My friend even agreed that it was weird. But we were greeted with a kind waitress Kassandra. She was amazing, she wasn’t hovering over us like most waitresses do, she took our orders and checked on us periodically (which is what I like, I don’t like overbearing waitresses/waiters). We ordered our food and I really like the whole meal. It was soooo good. I ordered the Bacado and an apple juice, my friend got the Chile Chorizo and a Coke and the whole meal was delicious. After that we got the bill, and we went up to go pay. The hostess that greeted us, also checked us out. My friend was telling her that the keypad still shows the company name and “welcome” on it. The attitude she had towards my friend was so unnecessary because it’s a valid concern. She huffed and told my friend to try again, instead of just explaining to a customer that it’s normal, just try again. After paying, my friend and I were talking about the interaction and how that if she’s having a bad day, not to be a hostess and ask to do something else. Because the way she interacts with customers can and will affect the business. I would come back again for the food, but that hostess, they need to replace her,...
Read moreWow! My husband and I grabbed an early morning breakfast here for the first time and from the moment we walked in until the moment we left it was truly a GREAT experience. This is a restaurant that has truly thought through all of the “little details” that make up your experience. Upon walking up the sidewalk, there was an employee waiting with the door open for us that greeted us with a genuine smile. Our server, Victoria, was so cheerful and gave us some great recommendations on what to try for our first visit. The coffee was delicious, and we really liked the fact that they leave a small carafe at your table to refill your coffee as needed, instead of having to wait for someone to make their rounds. (My husband and I even said to each other if they sold their own coffee by the bag we’d buy some!) Both of us ordered the Chickichanga which truly was a one-of-a-kind breakfast “burrito”. The Vera Cruz sauce that topped it was so yummy, with a delicious taste of lemon that truly complemented the chorizo in such a unique way. The portions are a good size compared to what you’re paying, and I couldn’t even finish all of mine since it was so filling! (My husband polished his off of course LOL) Overall, we were so pleasantly surprised by our entire experience, as we were a bit skeptical due to how many breakfast places we have in the area. But First Watch has definitely taken the time to perfect what sets them apart. From the staff, to the aesthetic, to the food … everything was absolutely perfect and we will...
Read moreI placed an online order for a couple of seasonal items plus a drink. I waited for 22 min from the time my order was supposed to be ready. When I first walked in to pick it up, the lady I asked just brushed me off with a comment that the kitchen is busy and walked away, no apologies. I waited for another 5m and asked the lady in the front. She's very nice offering me a drink which I declined and walking to the kitchen to find out if they have my order. I can see she was also getting dismissed by the people in the back and I could tell she felt bad not able to give me more info. Finally after 22m this same lady who dismissed me earlier came with the bag handed it to me with no apologies whatsoever. I got home and a couple of things different from my previous experience- the butter that came with the cornbread was just splashed on the bread instead of in a separate little cup for carryouts and the cornbread was not as dense or soft as what I had before in another location, there was no straw for my drink, the Strawberry tres leche was too plain with just the Strawberries, no cookie crumbles as detailed in the menu. Basically, a very underwhelming experience in this location. I hate to leave this negative review since i have had pleasant experiences in other locations everytime. Maybe growing pains in this location especially with the...
