Skip's Bar — Restaurant in Dunedin

I guess if you're not a local don't bother coming here unless you enjoy getting treated poorly, only nice thing about it is their wall of dogs.

Went yesterday (4/16) with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and right off the bat the lady working there was extremely rude and not welcoming at all. You would think a business would welcome customers but not this place in the slightest!

Finally ordered a drink to then be told that it's cash only - it's 2023 how can you not accept card? Then we stepped outside to move our bikes and the same lady rushed out and barked at us to not leave the property with a drink in hand. Again we didn't have the intention of walking around Dunedin drinking, we were simply trying to move our bikes. I'm sure the locals love this place but walking out of here left a bad taste...

Walking around Dunedin and decided to stop for a beer. We went in and ordered and took our drinks out to the patio. There were ashtrays on the tables and my sister in law lit up her cigarette and I lit up my cigar. Soon the bar tender came out and said no cigars allowed. We all thought it was a prank. I asked why and all she said is that it was policy from the owner. So you mean to tell me that you'll support an addictive habit with very unhealthy 2nd hand smoke but a person enjoying a premium cigar with no know health side affects can't relax at your establishment. I guess the owner must be a cigarette smoker. I have never encountered such prejudice and lack of common sense. Stay away from this place even if you don't smoke or don't like the smell of cigars. Loved Skip’s! The bartender was super friendly and attentive.. checked on all her customers frequently. We sat outside and enjoyed the comfy swing chairs surrounded by palms with a nice view of the people meandering by. Draft Beer was good and cold and the shelled peanuts w a bit of spice were super yummy. It’s dog friendly inside and out and had an awesome sign posted about being a safe and inclusive establishment. There are games including darts inside and a large bar w ample seating… next day had to return to Skip’s for Mickey’s Cajun Peanuts.. addicting!! Local to Florida. Bartender was different and...
