I've been here before, but it's been a while, and this most recent visit required an update.
They were already running out of multiple drinks on tap at 9pm on a Saturday, a huge cockroach almost ran over my foot near the bathrooms next to the game cabinets, and people who were parked on the couches at the consoles were still there and refusing to let others play even after we'd been there a couple of hours.
The staff is nice enough when you can get their attention (we had a 10minute + wait to close our 2 tabs) and the games are fun if you're able to play them (most cost money).
I would suggest coming here extra early if you want even a chance to play a console game on the couches or get a good drink, otherwise it's all pretty mediocre - and if it's the games you're interested in and want to walk around with a mediocre beer while playing them, Replay Museum in Tarpon Springs is a significantly better deal.
Edit: That reply was quick. Yes, it was a palmetto bug, which is a type of cockroach, the impressive/frightening part was it was running from further in the bar towards the bathrooms/cabinets even with all the people, so perhaps it's time for that monthly spray.
I ended up trying about 5 other choices that were on tap, you had run out of at least 2 so far, and nothing was particularily great, the only one I had heard good things about was one of the empties so my suggestion to others was just to arrive early.
The consoles in the corner with the couches, we were there for about 2hrs give or take, no one moved or allowed anyone else to take a turn on the consoles who weren't in their groups, so again, just suggesting people arrive early if they want a chance to play them.
I suggested the other place because it's roughly $13 to be able to play all of the games, for the entirety of the day, come and go as you please, with more selection and people willing...
Read moreThis was my very first time going to the Reboot Bar. I was truly blown away by the sheer inviting atmosphere, the retro and scifi combination look, and the very impressive selection of games to choose from. I will definitely be returning because it's nice to feel like a kid with no responsibilities now and then! I will recommend this fine establishment to everyone I know and meet. Respectfully Nathan 02/28/2022 Just adding two in my initial review. Today was the first day I came back to reboot Arcade and Bar. And I'm very happy to point out that the level of customer service has not decreased but it has in fact increased. I noticed a more in depth concentration on helping the customers that are new, or haven't returned for a while feel like they are at home. I also noticed that they have brought new games which some are older titles that are classics. And the others appear to be brand new era Style video games. They also have new beers and one that I tried for the first time today is called" Purple Haze" it has a bit of a robust Kik and it's full of flavor with a hint of crisp tart raspberry. The other beer that I tried for the first time today is best described as peanut butter and jelly in a cup and it was very delicious. Starts out with a nice raspberry flavor and ends with a smooth peanut butter finish. Both are worth every penny you spend on them. Overall a very Dynamite experience and I will definitely be back for more! Awesome job to the bar employees for making an awesome end to my very long work day! Respectfully, a very satisfied...
Read moreJust the facts. I called Reboot on Friday, April 4, 2025 to ask how the gaming worked. Machines take quarters and cost $1.00 per play. I told the person who answered the phone that I was celebrating my birthday and I wanted to play pinball and drink a few beers. I arrived around 5:00 PM and was told then that they had a private party starting at 6:00 PM. Apparently it was scheduled without the manager knowing. I was meeting friends and we made the best of the situation. We were playing pinball and at 5:50 PM ordered another round of beers. At 5:55 PM, my game was rebooted while I was playing. I needed a break and when I returned, my beer, wife and friends were gone. I asked where they were and I was told they were outside. I caught up with my party and asked what happened. At 6:00 PM they were told they had to leave. They tried to take the beers outside and were told that they could not. The unfinished beers were dumped. I returned to the bar and asked to speak with the manager. I told him I was not pleased to have been served a beer, not allowed to finish it and to be kicked out of the bar. He said he was sorry and didn't offer anything else. I told him this was not handled well and that with this treatment, I might not come back. At that point he said he would comp a few beers next time I come back. I'm still not sure I will return. PSA, make sure that they are not having a PRIVATE EVENT, especially...
