We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Delilah's Everyday Soul, and let me just say, this was soul food done right! From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an amazing meal. But what truly elevated the experience was our incredible server, Quay and the owner/chef Delana. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
Now, let’s talk about the food because it was nothing short of divine.
The Fried Chicken: Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside. Each bite was seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and flavor. It’s clear they take pride in their frying technique because it was easily some of the best I’ve ever had.
Mac and Cheese: This dish was pure comfort in a bowl. Creamy, rich, and incredibly cheesy, with a beautifully baked crust that added just the right touch of texture. Every forkful was indulgent and satisfying.
Candied Yams: Sweet and buttery with a hint of cinnamon, these yams were like dessert on the side. The natural sweetness of the yams paired perfectly with the caramelized glaze, creating a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
Collard Greens: Braised to perfection with a smoky depth of flavor, these greens were a standout. They had just the right balance of seasoning, with a slight tang that kept you going back for more.
If you’re looking for a spot that serves up authentic, mouthwatering soul food with top-tier service, look no further than Delilah's. This was a 5-star experience from start to finish, and Quay deserves a special shout-out for making it unforgettable. Can’t wait...

The mac and cheese was good. The yams were good.
This time around I had the whole fried wings and fish which I was under the impression was catfish but was “swai” instead and being born and raised in Mississippi, there is a huge difference between swai and catfish.
The chicken was cooked well but unfortunately just wasn’t seasoned to my liking, I eyed the chicken down looking for black pepper flakes or something and I just couldn’t see anything nor could I taste anything. The fish was cooked well and the batter was seasoned but the fish itself had no taste at all. The greens tasted just like their name, green because the seasoning was just not there. The strawberry lemonade was good quality but it wasn’t sweet enough or tart enough it just tasted like strawberry and lemon water.
I went on Valentine’s Day, the day of love and the food wasn’t cooked with any. Again I was born and raised in Mississippi and my family is from Louisiana and Mississippi. I know soul food and what I had that day tasted like something that would have my Grandma and your Grandma rolling in...
