'Sorry No Pics. We ate it all. I ordered pick up for 10 people, a big celebration for my friends from Rwanda . They love Goat Meat, and so I gave Abi at Royal Spice my order. We went for pick up on Sunday afternoon. I called that I was on the way. ABI was awaiting our arrival. I was met by Abi standing in the OPEN DOOR, with a BIG SMILE . He had the order ready to go. I paid, and he took it all to the car for me. ABI was so nice, so helpful and kind. I am seventy seven and my husband is 80. This Guy gave us " personal Matridi service."We were spoiled with his personal affection, as we knew him from many past years when he was at the old restaurant."
Ohhh. this food was sooooo... good....Yummi. Naan Bread was hot, and Abi provided a large amount for each one of the three orders. One Garlic and two traditional Naan. The Naan was all wrapped in a heavy aluminum foil; ready to go into my toaster oven till served. All of three of the goat meat and chicken entrees were clearly labeled, each in a large microwave dish. The two orders of Chana chickpeas were in large microwave containers. I decided to add a can of chickpeas to one order of Chana, so that the Chana was just right for the four kids and for my husband. The second order was served spicy hot for adults, and we really loved it. The Bright Red Tikka Chicken was tender and wrapped for the microwave. I ordered two types of goat meat, and both were really good. I especially liked the creamy coconut goat meat. Abi provided two big containers of Basmati Rice, so I only prepared three quick side dishes: microwave macaroni & cheese for kids, and two microwave Stouffer's Spinach Souffles , and a teriyaki stir fry topped off the cooked food for this event . We had a big fruit bowl; and an apple pie and ice cream for dessert. This dinner was so easy to microwave and everyone was happy eating the Indian goat meat and the Tikka chicken! WOW: We ate all of the Indian food. Kids took home Macaroni & Cheese. The Royal Spice bill for 10 people was $138.00 for absolutely fantastic and YUMMI Royal Spice Indian food for this event. THANK YOU ABI FOR GREAT FOOD. LOVE YOU. See You again..Soon. Mama Linda...
Read moreThis might be the best-kept Indian food secret in Metro Atlanta. Royal Spice in Sandy Springs is the kind of place that’ll have you questioning every other spot you’ve ever called your “favorite.”
Let’s start with the appetizers, because... wow. The Gobi 65 is crispy cauliflower tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce that hits you like a Bollywood dance number — dramatic, intense, and somehow makes you want more. Then the Onion Pakora — fried shredded onion bundles that come out so hot and flavorful, I had a full-on food awakening. Paired with their sweet, chili-kissed dipping sauce (think date night, literally), it was like my taste buds got a little love letter. I put these two up against anything — and I do mean anything. And yes, they came out hot enough to make my inner auntie nod in approval.
Then came the Mushroom Fried Rice, and I wasn’t ready. I expected plain basmati, but instead got a dish that had main character energy. Flavorful, well-balanced, and cooked just right — it was the sidekick that steals the show.
Now the mains: The Lamb Karahi was deeply satisfying — tender lamb with peppers, onions, and tomatoes in a rich, almost stew-like curry. I wanted to write a thank-you card to the chef. The Seafood Bhuna was a flavor plot twist — bright, slightly vinegary, non-curry-based, and full of seafood that actually tasted fresh (imagine that!). It danced on my tongue like it was auditioning for So You Think You Can Eat?
And let’s talk about that Garlic Naan. Soft, warm, with the right hit of garlic butter — I used it to mop up every bit of sauce like I was on a cleaning mission from heaven. I was dipping that naan like I was being paid by the scoop. Had to force myself to save some for later, otherwise it would've turned into a full naan overdose.
Service? Just how I like it — chill, friendly, and not breathing down your neck. Music? A little louder than necessary, but hey, it made me feel like I was eating in a music video. Vibe? Cozy and casual. Bonus? That $11 lunch special is basically a love letter to your wallet.
Do yourself a favor and try this place. You might just fall in love... with...

Rating: 0/5 stars
I'm still trying to process the horrific experience I had at Royal Spice Indian. Waiter is a 15 year old rude kid.
The dishes were lukewarm, and the flavors were dull and uninspired. I asked to speak to the manager, who arrived with an attitude that can only be described as hostile.
When I expressed my disappointment with the food, the manager became defensive and argumentative, insisting that the dishes were "fine" and that I just didn't understand Indian cuisine. I was taken aback by the sheer audacity of his response.
But the pièce de résistance was when I asked to speak to the owner. The manager reluctantly called him, and when the owner arrived, he seemed utterly disinterested in our concerns. In fact, he seemed to take pleasure in telling us that he didn't need our business and that we were free to leave.
I've never encountered such blatant disdain for customers in my life. It's clear that the owner and management of Royal Spice Indian Food are not interested in providing good food or decent customer service. They seem to be running the restaurant solely to amuse themselves, and customers are merely an inconvenience.
Unless you enjoy being treated like dirt and served subpar food, stay far, far away from Royal Spice Indian Food. There are plenty of other excellent Indian restaurants in the area that actually value...
