Good burgers, big onion rings, and a tasty chilli dog. Plus, they had a line out the door. So we knew this was going to be a place that had some good food, and we were not disappointed. While the burgers taste great, like a homemade burger not from home, what I'm starting to really like about these hidden gem restaurants is that they aren't trying to wow you with a burger too big to fit in your mouth. They stand on their taste and what one normally thinks of as a hamburger. I like this. You can get a double patty (or single patty if you choose) and you can still bite into the burger and the burger will not fall apart. I'll take that over a massive burger that is more in-line with Mission Impossible than the enjoyment of eating. The Onion Rings were good, maybe just a little too long in the friar, but I can let that slide. They still tasted good. The Chili Dog was just a really good chili dog. Sometimes you want a hot dog and in this case, it has chili on it. It's an add on that serves its purpose to quiet that taste profile craving when you get it. All in all, we'll be back for another visit.

One of my favorite burgers in town is at @villageburger. I was introduced to it by my wife who had gone for a couple of work lunches there pre-covid. The thing I love about village burger is that it's cheap, tasty and simple. Let's breakdown the village burger: 1. Bun: this is a solid bun, slightly toasted for a crisp outside but a soft inside 2. Patties: this may not be wagyu beef but it's still super tasty and always fresh, it packs plenty of flavor and covered with a slice of american cheese it's awesome 3. Sauce: I always go with the village sauce a typical burger sauce that's a mix of mayo, ketchup, mustard and other spices 4. Other toppings: if you've seen my other posts you've probably figured out I have a weakness for eggs as a topping and at village burger it's worth the extra cost to get it Bonus: the fries here are great and they top them with a great seasoning you should definitely try If you're looking for a low key burger at an affordable price (it's only $6 for a double!) this is your spot.

Village burger has lettuce wrapped burgers! During the lettuce recall I noticed a sign on the door stating they have switch to Roman lettuce since iceberg is recalled. Wow. The burger came in a foam container and wrapped in a paper sheet. This allowed for easy handling of my lettuce wrap burger. The lettuce was able to stay together! I had a double burger with onions, cheese and pickles. The cheese hands down remind me of some good old southern grilled cheese. The burger patties were thin, but well done. Honestly, the chesse helped the patties taste better. They weren't bad but I doubt they were seasoned. Inside Village burger is limited seating, they do have outside seating. There isn't adequate space to wait for your order, as other customers are coming to the door and to the cash register. So things can get crowded. Thankfully my wait time was less than 10 minutes. I would love to see sweet potatoe fries added to the menu! Overall four stars, and gotta love those low prices.

I don't actually live in the area. I do have a brother that does and when I go to visit him we always grab a burger from here. Village Burger models the style of a "Build your own Burger" shop.

♤-The Experience-♤ You walk into the packed restaurant and can order one of two base burgers. Either a single 1/4 patty or a double 1/4 patty. Then you pick your toppings from a variety of options like egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, a variety of cheeses, etc. Finally you pick (or don't pick) condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc. I personally recommend the Village Sauce as it's similar to Big Mac Sauce.

I didn't notice any vegan or vegetarian options... but a burger place is probably the last place you want to be for that.

Wait times are reasonable as the restaurant is usually crowded and the food is made to order. Most times I'm there and it also helps that they are great at order accuracy so it's right the first time. I usually order to go and the burgers are wrapped in aluminum foil and always hot.

♤-The Taste-♤ My typical order is a single patty burger w/ egg, bacon, pepper jack cheese and village sauce. The patty is cooked perfectly. Not dry nor raw. Sauce isn't necessary but {for me} but it adds more flavor. The bacon is also a bit crispy but not crumbly allowing it to stay in the burger when you eat. I normally don't order fries as the burger as is, is quite filling but the fries are regular sized normal cut and taste great as well.

I highly recommend this place to people new in the area, people who like burgers, or anyone who breaths...

Went there on June 16th 2016, this was mine and my husbands first time ever eating there. Not only was the staff and management great they was also very welcoming and friendly. We felt very welcomed there!.

As far as the food, If it was not a 45 minute drive from my house I could eat there every day. We both ordered the Village burger which was a double and we got the Texas toast for the bread (recommended by staff), I got the fried pickles and my husband the fries and it was great. Its very close to being the best burger I have had. The meat used is truly fresh to the taste, these are hand made patties.

I read one of the low star reviews before posting this talking about how the staff and management was talking to each other and bla bla. This is not an outback, this is not a Texas Road House, or some other big higher class joint. This place is a small home town bar set it. You can eat at the bar or get you a table inside or you can eat out side at the tables they have out there. This is not a place where you go to eat if you want to eat in quite, GO HOME and eat if that is what you are looking for. Order it to go and take it home. We ate at the bar and felt as if we had been friends with the staff for years and that was the first time we been there. Never heard of the place before. I will be making that 45 minute drive or longer depending on the traffic between Stockbridge GA and Dunwoody Ga to eat at this place again. I very highly...

I pretty much ate here religiously every Friday during the summer. You wouldn't think anything of the place by looking at it, but I think that adds to the experience. During the lunch hour it is super crowded. Indoor seating is almost non existent, but they have a decent amount of outdoor seating. Definitely worth a look if you want to try a locally owned folksy type establishment.

The burger is good. You can tell it is handmade due to the inconsistencies in the patty. Kind of like a five guys, but maybe a little better. If you have a big appetite I recommend getting the double, because the single will easily be drowned out by the bun and condiments ! Toppings are always up to par, never any old soggy tomatoes or lettuce or anything like that. All the veggies got a good crunch.

Definitely a casual, average all american type menu. It is not quite as fancy as Yeah!, Flip, or Farm Burger..but you can still get a veggie or turkey burger. I also like their chili dogs !

Their fries can be a hit or miss though..I like them but a lot of people complain about them being overcooked or too soggy or over seasoned so maybe specify how you like em when you order ! Also, two people could easily share one order of fries

During peak hours, customer service suffers a bit. They do what they can and I never have any complaints but just don't go in their expecting 5...
