Ernie's — Restaurant in Durango

Bar tender was very slow, like the speed of a sloth slow. Not much of bourbon selection, beer choices, tried a couple ... Not the best. The worst of it all, was when the bar tender called for last call with about 15 of us in there at 945pm and then continued to serve drinks for his friends. When asked about it, he said the bar was closed. We all left. Later that night walking past Ernie's on the way back to the hotel from another bar, there were still people inside the bar around 1130 pm having drinks. No one felt welcomed or wanted inside the bar except the bar tenders small group of 4 friends. He could have made a lot of money in tips that night, but decided to have his own private event on a Saturday. Will not recommend, will...

The night we are there, the place was inundated with a group of 25-30 loud, obnoxious students from the local college who thought it was funny to hassle the other patrons. (I had to firmly tell the guy who came to our table that no, I didn’t want to become his new friend). The host-manager either couldn’t control the group or didn’t want to try.
