My family come here often because the Caldo de Res is great. Unfortunately, on 4/7/2022, we had very lousy experience. The lime they gave us for the soup was dry so I went to ask for a replacement. Even though I got one, the owner was being stingy about it, asked me "What was wrong with it?" Think of a real life Mr. Krabs when someone asks for a free refill.
Then when I actually started eating the soup, it had a weird after taste to it. Most likely from the day before but wasn't stored properly. My mother who also ordered the caldo noticed it as well but kept eating because she didn't want to wait for something else because it was lunch rush and shes diabetic and hadn't eaten much that morning.
So I went to see if I could get something else of equal value to the caldo because I didn't trust that batch being served but the owner went to allegedly try the soup and said nothing was wrong with it and that I myself must have put something in it. But the only thing I put in was the lime and rice they give out with the Caldo.
After a brief argument, where he brought up the fact my mother was forcing herself to eat it, he reluctantly agreed to replace the order with something else but then said, "This cost us money" as if we were eating for free and didn't just spend $25 at his business. At that point, we just walked out and didn't receive a refund nor order replacement. They probably would have spat in the...
Read moreYopos Restaurant Hello Rudy I just wanted you to know my experience on Friday night about 7:30 pm We ordered two trays of your Parillidas and I explained to your employee that the try was mostly Chicken and with very limited on beef and they it seemed unfair of the portions, we paid $148.00 plus I ordered more beer and drinks and chips and Salas and spent another $30.00. The employee told me that that is how you prepare it and that they would not do anything about it. If I would have know. I would have ordered individual plates of fajita so we could have some beef and felt very disappointed. Most likely we will not return again, the service was fine until we complained. I took my family out for the first time since this pandemic and this was so disappointing. Please be aware that the potions on our dishes were not acceptable for what we spent. Be assured that we will consider other options to dine next time. We don’t mind spending money to eat and like to feel fulfilled with the family but this evening we all left your restaurant dissatisfied and hungry. Sorry but I think it’s important to let you know how we feel, Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreEvery time I visit the casino in Eagle Pass, I make it a point to stop at Yopo’s Tacos to enjoy their tacos rojos. The tacos are consistently well-prepared, with a satisfying crunch and rich, authentic flavor that keeps me coming back. The quality and consistency of the food are impressive, and it is clear that care is taken in both preparation and presentation. The restaurant has become one of my preferred destinations for a quick and flavorful meal in the area.
However, my overall rating is three stars due to the recent price increase. The cost of a dozen tacos has risen from approximately $12.99 to over $19. While the food quality remains high, the nearly doubled price makes it more challenging to enjoy what was once an affordable and casual dining experience. For regular customers or those seeking value for money, this increase may be disappointing.
Overall, Yopo’s Tacos continues to offer tasty and satisfying food, but the pricing now feels less accessible, which impacts the overall dining experience. If it wasn't so expensive, I would definitely get a...
