Taco Palenque Eagle Pass — Restaurant in Eagle Pass

I like to try places several times before leaving reviews because I believe that one bad experience shouldn’t determine the overall quality of a business. Ive been here for breakfast on a Monday, I got off to get my to-go order and service and food were good. I then went on a Friday for a parillada for 3 but I ordered at the drive thru. The person taking my order almost took my order wrong, I had to correct them. That order was okay but when asked about salsas, I requested two kinds. I get home and we only recieved 2 salsas. It was a parrillada for 3, how is 2 salsas enough? I went again on a Tuesday to order another parrillada, this time for 4 and again through the drive-thru. I had a similar issue of apparently being missunderstood while my order was being taken. I clarified what I wanted and requested for more salsas this time. I get home and this time we got a bunch of salsas… but we were missing the tortillas. Not even a single tortilla. Thinking about it, I start to feel bad for those workers that get a lunch break and come here to get their lunch to-go and then for them to realize their orders are wrong or missing something. This Taco Palenque provided an incredible, unique experience that was the beginning of a great solar eclipse experience. I feel in love with the chain when I visited Laredo as I noticed it had a large presence and was intrigued. I enjoyed it two days in a row: dinner then breakfast and it was great each time. Tried to buy a taco air freshener apparently an app exclusive on April Fools’ Day. Shared my experience with manager they provided some Taco Palenque swag such as T-shirts and hats which was warmly received and truly appreciated by an advocate of Taco Palenque. Day was made before 9 am on Eclipse Day which is a statement. Breakfast food was excellent and each member of our party got different items that were amazing such as tacos and quesadillas accompanied by coffee. The Taco Palenque partners were very attentive and provided a great experience and atmosphere. I used the drive thru, ordered aroz con leche, 3 fajita tacos, agua de Jamaica, total was about $26. Waited in line for well over 30 mins, was charged right away but didn't get my food for a long time. When I asked about it they informed me that they had run out of fajita and didn't know how long it would be to get my food. The people behind me in line recieved their food prior to me, when I finally recieved my food nothing was said just was handed my food. Got home and took a bite of my tacos, the meat was not seasoned and it was bland, the salsa was also bland and not tasted of anything. Honestly for the price and the service you're getting it isn't worth the trip, as this is has been an ongoing trend of downward treatment in service. The orders are typically wrong or missing items when I've gone in the past. There was very high expectations for this restaurant but has been a huge let down in food...
