Frank's Pizza 📍East Brunswick, NJ, is nestled in a local strip mall by ShopRite off of Route 18. Frank's has some of the best awesome pizzas that are truly delicious. We visited on a weekend, and they had an amazing selection. We then went again on a Tuesday night with less available, but they were willing to make a personal Tortellini Pie that we had enjoyed the previous weekend and were told if there is ever anything we don't see that they typically offer, they can recreate it for us within 15 minutes in a personal size. I definitely recommend checking them out. During our last visit, we tried the tortellini pizza, which was spectacular, the garlic, cheese, and tomato, which was heavy on the garlic, but very tasty, and a plain slice with pineapple added. Frank's even has their own root beer, and desserts. My daughter tried an ice cream parfait. They have a nice dining area, and a full menu such as Stromboli, lasagna, etc, in addition to their pizza. I'm definitely looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu.

Tonight Aug 25th 2021 I surprised the owner with a disk from around the way challenge, and I must say they met the challenge worth the 5🌟 I ranked them with. Had to call him with the outstanding news. On my first experience at this pizzeria in 2014, I ordered a FRIED BBQ CHICKEN & PINEAPPLE PIZZA AND WAS HOOKED to the amazing taste. Since then, I grew to become a regular through out the years. I've brought a lot of traffic their way so they could experience the greatness and passion this wonderful staff brings to this establishment. The owners would even teach me Italian every time I would visit. Mantieni la coerenza che i ragazzi ti vedranno presto.

I love Franks pizzeria and have gone there for 5years. The food has always been delicious and the owner has always been so kind and respectful.

Sometime last week I had gone to get a grandma slice, and took it to go. As I got into the car and drove off, I opened and began eating. I was anticipating that nice hot cheesy goodness of the first bite and to my surprise it was cold, even though it was placed in the oven. The bottom was warm, but the cheese and sauce were cold.

I called the restaurant and the gentleman that answered the phone had remembered me because only a couple minutes had passed. I let him know that the slice was cold and he told me he was sorry and the next time I come in my next grandma slice would be on him. I was not expecting that, I just wanted to give a heads up, so another customer does not experience the same thing. I said to him, oh wow, thank you I appreciate that

This brings us to today. Around 2PM I was driving to an appointment and I have not had the chance to eat anything all day. I was thinking, “ where can I go that I can get something in 5 to 10minutes that is already on my route, and I thought, ‘Oh! I can grab a slice from Franks”.

Upon driving there part of me was debating whether to mention the free slice because I was not looking for a hand out, I would be good paying for it. I figured if I mention it and he did not remember, I would say no problem, and I will still buy the slice.

(I was hungry and they make great food.)

I walk in to the restaurant, and I see the gentleman that had promised me the slice, last week. I walked up with a smile, a bit timid at first, and I said hey, do you remember me? He looked at me and said uhh yeah kind of, and I said you had spoken to me on the phone last week after I had gotten a slice and I told you the slice was cold and you said the next time I come in, I wouldn’t have to pay. He said “huh?, who me?” And I repeated it and retreated a bit and said yeah, you said because my slice was cold, the next time I come in, it was on you.

Next thing I know, He rolled his eyes, turned his head away from me to the right and said, “whatever, what do you want, this?” With out waiting for an answer from me, he took the slice and put it in the oven begrudgingly.

In that moment I felt so embarrassed, because there were customers in the restaurant. I felt like I had done something wrong, and the moment he put the slice in, I backed up and I said “uh uh, no I don’t even want it anymore. I said that was so rude and uncalled for.” And he didn’t even look my way. He shrugged his shoulders as he took the pizza slice out, and put it back on the platter.

It would have been cool if he would have said, I am sorry ma’am I do not remember having that encounter with you. I would have said no problem at all, would have still asked for the slice and simply had paid for it.

However, his attitude spoke volumes and it made me feel bad for ever mentioning it or asking.

I will be disappointed not to go back because like I said I enjoy the food and the owner is great. However, that made me feel so small, disrespected and I did not deserve to be treated that way.

The only reason why I gave it two stars instead of one is because of how great the owner and other workers have been...

First time I have been here in probably about 10 years I went in for lunch and order the penne vodka with meatballs. I was trying to save on calories so I brought in a bottle of water with me. I called and ordered 10 minutes before I arrived so when I sat down they brought a nice side salad over to me with French dressing. The lettuce was fresh. After about 10 minutes they brought the penne vodka with meatballs over the vodka sauce was amazing although it would have been better if they had added prosciutto and or peas. The meatballs on the other hand the only good thing about them is that they were soft and about half the size of a softball. They were obviously Maid of I'd say at least 40 to 50% bread and it tasted like no salt was added. They were also room temperature. The least they could have done was heat them properly. After tax was added I handed the gentleman a $20 bill and received three single dollar bills back. Like I said the meatballs were pretty much inedible and I believe they were between 3 to $5 to add to that penne vodka I should have just gotten it without them or with grilled chicken and I might have been much happier. I ate about half of the pasta and they gave me and aluminum foil circular container to take home my leftovers. I forgot to mention that garlic bread was included in this meal and by the way was fantastic. The friends I was eating lunch with we're making fun of the garlic bread because was a bright orange color almost like a super ripe cantaloupe. But it was fresh out of the oven the butter was melted nicely and you could see chunks of crust garlic. Next time I go here I will probably get the barbecue chicken pizza which is my second favorite food at any Pizzeria. I would purchase the penne vodka again but definitely not with meatballs and probably not until I'm working a job paying more than...

I really wish that I could give negative stars for this place. I ordered food around 11am. I have ordered pasta bolognese from many places, and never have I had it with mushrooms in it. I am allergic, so I called and asked for a replacement. The guy starts telling me that I should have reviewed the menu better (all it said was penne bolognese, nothing else. I wasn't expecting mushrooms in it). After yelling at me, the guy told me that he would have a new order sent to me. I received the food around 12 pm, and it wasn't even bolognese, it was just meat sauce. So I called again and they had the audacity to ask me "what do you expect us to do about this?" I asked them to just send me the pasta bolognese without the mushrooms, like they told me they would before. That was it. A little after 1pm the delivery driver comes and starts arguing with me that the second order was the bolognese, which it wasn't. He tells me "next time don't keep messing up," so I told him that there wouldn't be a next time as I would never get food from them again due to this already horrible experience. As he is leaving, he calls me a "stupid f-ing b*h". I have never seen such a disgusting display of customer service in my life. I called the store after he left to tell them how disgusted I was, and how they needed to do something about this, the guy LAUGHS AT ME and says "was your order at least right this time?" I have never had such a terrible experience like...
