Update - 4/6/24: I can't believe my original review was 7 years ago - so it's time to revisit. My original 5 star review definitely stands. You simply won't find better pizza anywhere close to the area. True NY style pizza - best crust around - perfectly crispy, and thin and airy. Previously, I had mentioned the Margarita pizza - which is still great - but another pizza here has taken the crown for me. The Burrata Pizza - it is perfect in every way. I would put it in my top 3 favorite pizzas of all time (maybe number 1) - and I've had a lot of pizza. You can't go wrong with any pizza here - Da Robbie DeNiro - Excellent. White pizza - awesome. Plain - excellent. The prices are a little high - but nowadays, everything it. Here, you get the quality you're paying for. Besides the excellent food, Mancini's is run by an awesome family and their staff. They treat you like family, make great food, and they'll talk sports and ask how you've been. Best place around - highly recommend them - they're an East Brunswick landmark and I hope they never leave town. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original review: The best Pizza in Central Jersey. Haven't had better. Family owned and operated. There isn't much to say except if you haven't been here yet, you are missing out on the best Margarita Pizza anywhere.

Have been here numerous times over the years and this is the first time I've reviewed. My experiences have been up and down. Although the food is always consistently high quality and delicious, the same can be said for the poor service. As an example, I went here about 8:30pm on a Friday eve. specifically to get the Chicken alla vodka panini (my favorite) and also ordered a beef patty appetizer. My wife ordered the rigatoni bolognese. The server asked if I wanted the appetizer brought out first (duh?), to which I replied yes as I was hungry. 15 minutes later the rigatoni arrives, followed 5 minutes later by a chicken italiano panini, which wasn't what I ordered. Only after I ask about what happened to the appetizer did I get the explanation they had to start from scratch and it was almost ready. Really?!?!? The server couldn't come back to tell me that? Oh yea, he never came back once to see how we were doing. I sent back the wrong panini when the supposedly correct one was delivered 5 minutes later, it suspiciosly looks and tastes like they just added some vodka sauce to the incorrect one. To top it off, after paying, I explain all this to the owner and I get an attitude and poor response. Never again! Too many other great places in the area!

I haven't been here in years and I wasn't thrilled with it then. I was in the area figured I'd give it another try. I ordered a slice of Sicilian I was told it would be a few minutes because they had a fresh pie coming out the oven. I also ordered the chicken parm with vodka sauce on a roll and the pistachio tartufo. While I was waiting the guy who was touching the food and preparing the food spent quite a few seconds trying to pick something off of his lip with his bare hands never used hand sanitizer after and went back to touching the food. Once I got the Sicilian slice was completely black on the bottom. The tortuffo which always has a cherry in the middle had some sweet Jam that I've never seen before which ruined it I added with cream and some sprinkles when I got home. The chicken sandwich the roll was disgusting hard as a rock the chicken was very very greasy with the sauce and the chicken cutlet was as thin as a piece of paper. $30 for that is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind paying if the food was good. I see there's tons of reviews complaining about the black burnt pizza but they don't seem to care or respond. Spend the extra 5 minutes to go down Route 18 to Brothers Pizza you won't be disappointed.

Heard this place was supposed to be good and I love brick oven pizza, so we tried it. My friends and I went here to order pizzas for a ufc fight night in advance. We paid in advance for this to be delivered at 9 pm, so we could go shopping for some other things before we went home. I was promised this would be delivered on time and everything would be right. Fast forward three hours later, When the delivery was not on time I first waited 20 mins to call to ask where my order was. I was immediately told it was on its way and hung up on. I was upset that we paid over $100 for pizzas and were promised they would be delivered on time

40 mins later and still no pizzas. I called back a second time. I asked to speak to a manager which I was told none was available, what can I do for you. I explained that I came in hours ago to place an order to be delivered and it’s an hr late. I was put on hold for almost 3 mins before the same nasty employee got back on the phone, saying. It’s in the delivery car now, we are very busy on saturdays so your just going to have to deal with it. I was again hung up on after he said this.

35 mins later the delivery guy shows up, looking like a disgusting disheveled drug addict. He goes sorry I was pulled over by the police and held me there while my vehicle was searched. I said did you think to even call me to let me know my delivery was going to be late. My phone number is on the receipt. The driver agains starts blaming the police.

I was so upset, I didn’t even think to check my order before he left. I would have never given him a tip if I hadn’t already left $15 with the counter person when they were ordered.

As soon as my friends started to open the pizzas, they were all cold and appeared to have fallen over in transport. Out of the 6 pizzas ordered two were also wrong and were not what we ordered. The pizza was far from good as well and completely a waste of our money.

I will never step foot in this place again and I would suggest you get your pizzas else where. They truly do not care about customer service and the pizza...

I was an out of towner. So I looked online to see where to get a good pie. Saw this restaurant. Called, asked for recommendations of their most ordered pie. They stated the Margarita. So I got that in a large and plain in a small. When it got to me my pizza looked horrible. I looked like it was slidding all over the place in the back of the car. The cheese was half off the pie and it was stuck to the sides and top. The crust was also burned, but then the pie didn't really taste well done. So it seemed it was cooked outside in. So I called and let the restaurant know and they required me to take a picture of the pies and text it to, I guess he is the owner, Frank, his phone. So I said that's fine. He tried to assure me that he wasn't requesting it because he didn't believe me. (That didn't matter) Then I called back and asked if he was going to give me a discount for the incovenience. He got irritated and said, NO, I am making you 2 new pies. I said, ok. Then he goes on to say, and I am letting you keep the 2 you already have. So you will have 4 pies for the price of 2. I stated to him that I did NOT want the other 2 that were messed up. He said, why? They are still edible. I stated to him that he should have offered a dicsount. I then aasked for his name and he hung up on me. After that I couldn't even enjoy the meal. On the other hand my family said it was good. I will NEVER order from here again while in New Jersey and would NEVER send anyone here. The pizza may have been good, but customer service...

What is it that separates good pizza from truly GREAT pizza? That's what makes pizza such an alluring thing, that it can't easily be distilled into a simple recipe for success.

This pizza was so good the first time, I could tell from the smell coming from the box, that it was a winner. It was so good, that I didn't post a review right away. I went back again, to dine in, and again, for take out, to see if it was a fluke, or consistent.

After careful research (and an expanding waistline), I can report that this place is the best I've had in the central NJ area. It all begins with the crust. There's some special je ne sais quois that elevates some pizza crusts above the rest, and this pizza has it. It's bubbly, and crisp, and chewy, and tangy and ... It makes the pie. The sauce is thick, yet not chunky, with a perfect balance of tomato tang, spices, garlic, and oil but not grease. A truly great pizza is one that is so good, that toppings take away from it, and after the first couple of pies, now I just get 'em plain!

I'm a little skeptical of five star reviews. To me, that's a special place. If I could be more accurate, I'd give this place 4.5 stars - it's truly the best I've had in NJ - not my best ever, but still very high praise.

It's unassumingly tucked away in a small strip mall, and doesn't really call attention to itself and more than any other local pizza place in a strip mall. Don't go by appearances ... Go...
