I’m pretty sure this place is on the way out. This used to be one of our favorite places to pick up food. Unfortunately, the past few times has been a waste of money and effort. Over the weekend (Oct. 26) I ordered online and had to go into the restaurant to pick up, as the drive through was closed. Two young girls working, miserable to be there of course… No greeting, one did hand me a lid for my drink… In a quiet miserable way. Received stale chips. The coke was like fizzy water. Our food had old rice that must have been sitting the entire day. It had become crunchy and disgusting. I had the stack, with veggies only. It had nothing but old rice and black beans on it. No cheese sauce or salsa, it was just dry. If we didn’t live out in the country, I would have returned the mess to the restaurant. However, within an hour of eating I was terribly sick. Management should definitely keep a check of how long food is sitting out for the safety of customers. Although it seems the management is nonexistent on the weekends, given the look of the restaurant. I’ve had several bad experiences with this restaurant and this is the first time I’m reviewing our experience. We absolutely will not be back, too many authentic Mexican choices in Ellijay to waste here. If you desire to chance it, get there during the week and as soon...
Read moreBeing one of the first 50 customers that ever stepped foot in this establishment three years ago. I’m here to say how unfortunate it is that this place has drastically fallen in such a short time. Not only is it nasty inside, constantly has flies and gnats everywhere. ESPECIALLY in the salsa bar. It’s poorly managed. Tonight was the very last time I will ever attempt business with this place. As they made my to go order wrong, which in itself is whatever, no big deal, BUT I drove all the way back to have the correct food I bought remade. For a worker to take a bowl of food that had now been sitting out for over 40 minutes and dump it on a burrito shell and attempt to hand it back to me as the food I ordered. YOU CANT DO THAT AS A FOOD SERVICE PLACE. You shouldn’t even touch food brought back in, except to throw it away. Not only is it highly unethical, it’s disgusting and a great way to make someone sick. I just sat it right on the counter and walked out. I’ll fight with corporate over my refund, this place isn’t even worth the time. Considering this is how they treat one of the most loyal customers to their business, it’s safe to say don’t eat here. Unless you don’t mind gambling your health with food born illnesses. Hind sight should’ve ate the burrito, gotten sick and made...
Read moreI hope management or corporate reads this. I have been to this Moes many times. I'm a local. I'm not coming here anymore. It used to be acceptable. The problem is the employees. They're awful. Many times there are only two of them. I've worked in a restaurant many times before. I would have been fired for what I've seen here. The employees are not only bad at their job, they're rude and joyless. They constantly make orders incorrectly right in front of you. After they butcher your food, they give you a look that says "I know it's bad, but I made it, so go pay." Sometimes they will talk about how bad it is while they're making it. They know they don't care, and they like to remind you. One employee likes to joke about how he's gotten fired from his other jobs because he's so bad, but Moe's won't fire him. I don't know who manages this location, but they should be fired for failing to find even minimally decent workers. I expect some bad service here and there because of the work shortage, and restaurants like Zaxby's and Dominos have let me down, but never like this place. This place has become a daily eyesore. I can't remember the last time this location got my order right. The problem is the employees and the failure of management to do...
