Cafe East Asian Cuisine and Sushi — Restaurant in East Hempfield Township

Cafe East has been one of my favorite places for Asian style food in the area for a very long time. I always enjoy dishes from Cafe East more than the other Chinese food places anywhere nearby. The food is always hot and freshly prepared, the sushi is excellent, and the specials on the menu have some of my favorite dishes of Asian cuisine in Lancaster. The atmosphere is usually quiet, the lighting is slightly dim but I find it adds rather than subtracts from the atmosphere. It's a good date spot. Now under new management. Used to have the freshest and most delicious General Tso's around. Now the General Tso sauce tastes and looks like it came out of a jar. They used sliced cucumber as a garnish around the whole plate?!?!?!?!?!?!? Not a flavor combo that is pleasing at all. Everything was very good here - definitely recommend it! My husband and I went here for the first time and he says that it's probably his favorite Chinese restaurant in Lancaster.

The food was very good quality and delicious. Prices are higher than a takeout Chinese restaurant, but are still reasonable, especially considering the good quality and great service here.
