I have had the worst experience with the pharmacy at this location. Most of the pharmacists act like they are too busy and come off as annoyed. I was having an issue with my new insurance card while trying to get a prescription filled - i called in to this location and I believe the pharmacist named Joey answered and when i tried to tell him my new information he told me that it would be easier if I just came in to the store and acted as if i was asking a lot of him to take my information over the phone.
After continuing to have issues while on the phone with him, I finally decided to just go in to the store. When i got there I went to the drop off window to try and get my insurance information straightened out. The pharmacist at the window looked at my card and told me that they already had it in the system. So i proceeded to tell her that I was told over the phone that it was coming up denied. She then printed off her screen and showed me... and it showed my old card information, not the new one. I then explained this to her but she argued with me that it was the correct card and it was going through but i owed money for my prescription and that if i had an issue i was to call my insurance company. She said she would put the prescription back until i figured it out. I told her to hold the prescription that they had filled... that i would call my insurance company (which she couldve done with me there) and that i would be back when i had it figured out.
I went back today after getting it all straightened out with the insurance.. and went through the drive thru... had a different pharmacist who proceeded to tell me i had no prescriptions to pick up. I told her that I had been in yesterday and did. She went and talked to the pharmacist i had the night before.. who i then hear through the window of the drive through... talking in a smart tone "She told me she wasnt paying and so i got rid of the prescription." The lady then came back and said that i had told them to forget it so they put it back... but they could get it refilled for me in an hour.
All in all.. they are rude and do not provide very...
Read moreI have never had a bad experience at the Centerville Rd CVS and must add how wonderful they were today. We were on our way to lunch to meet my kids' grandparents, who flew in from across the country to see us. We were due to meet them in less half an hour and I realized my son's epi pen was expired. He has multiple food allergies and is never to be without it, especially when eating out. There was no time to drive home and get his more current epi, but we happened to be driving right past CVS I decided to stop and see if a script could be filled. Yes, they could and would hurry it along, but no refills were on file. I called my dr office, they rushed in a refill and the tech at the pharmacy not only helped me get the refill authorized by telling me which steps would make the process faster, she made sure it was filled immediately. Less than 10 minutes and I walking out the door with an epi pen. No it was not an emergency but it would have been reckless to have him eat at a restaurant without his epi. Everything that was MY fault for being unprepared, they handled with kindness and haste. This is not the first time I have had quick and great service at this CVS, the Centerville Rd...
Read morePreCOVID-19 I’ve had excellent service at this CVS. I have been coming to this location for over 10yrs now. The pharmacist are all very knowledgeable and personable. Despite how busy they are they will still take the time answering questions. If it is not noted by your doctor they will inform you immediately of drug interactions. The techs are very personable as well. Since the PANDEMIC I have seen a decline in service, but not because of care. More or less do to lack of staffing and demand from corporate to keep two lanes open in the DriveThrough. Since I have been coming here for so long I have gotten to know the staff and have listened to the amount of pressure they are under as well as any other medical type facility. I have witnessed people being rude for taking to long as I watch just a couple of people try to run the pharmacy with a high demand. I have gone to other CVS pharmacies and I prefer this one over all. We owe the staff a great deal of respect. Stop criticizing people for things that are out of their control.
