I Never Leave A Bad Review for Anyone... actually, I Believe this to Be My First... The Worst EASTER Experiece EVER! You call for a reservation and they put You through the paces of getting all Your information, On Hold Five Minutes, name, party size, etc., WE ARRIVE, The Greeter couldnt Have Been worse, She doddled through Paperwork and a clipboard for No kidding, Twenty Minutes to the point Where We Almost left twice in that time... Got Seated at their "Extra" table Because THEY LOST THE RESERVATION, sat for Literally ten minutes Until somebody came by and handed Us Menus, No drinks for another Five minutes, and We Had to get up and move Salt, pepper, sugar and a candle over to Our table... Oh, and did I Mention the Restaurant was Nearly Bare for Easter... We'd Been there forty five minutes total already, Not even drinks and the worst Customer service experience ever With the greeter, another person Got up from their table and walked into the dining room center Right By Out table, one big angry woman in shorts, "Ive Been Here Twenty Minutes, Can I Please get a drink" she Shouted like She was on stage... The server at the Neighboring table told guests they couldnt Have a box Because Family Style You're given Extra If You want it and people would just order extra and take it Home... The table Beside them Got Two giant Boxes much to Everyones surprise, different server I Guess, We Were Never offered anything More... Actually, Their star of the show the roast Beef which was Unbelievable, Wasnt on the ala carte, Either they didnt make enough or wanted to corner You into ordering Family style... It was AWFUL... A Crispy sliver of overcooked ham, if It pains You that muvh to give it to Me, Leave it off the plate... It was an insult, The Roast Beef was Wonderful, The Chicken... fine... The Pasta We compared to wood Chips, They Actually gave You a decent portion of that... Fill You up on even more cheap and insulting fare... Never offered anything else... The Apple crisp, Well, Im glad somebody Has Been trained to throw Soggy Oatmeal on Pie Filling... The Twelve Dollar Spoonful of Crab Dip We got was BRUTAL... It was the single worst appetizer Ive Ever seen and Ive seen some humdingers... You dont get time Back in Life and Thats the worst part of this... and Our Server... Juan, I Believe His Name was Was Nice enough, But while Two tables Beside Us Recieved Extra Roast Beef and One Recieved two extra pieces of the chicken, We Were rushed through and never offered another thing, We Were kept up on drinks However and the Tomato Bisque that I could tell was thickened with Bread, I May Be Wrong, But it tasted granular, As if Bread was the all too "Clever" thickener... was fine... marginal at Best really... It was Awful... We Were so excited, We Had the Nicest Meal there the Year Before... I dont know if Chef's or Management Have changed, But this was Awful, A complete zero, I wouldn't even give this a songle star if I didnt Have to... I wish I could describe How Awful The Greeter was, She Doddled, and doddled and doddled through Different paperwork and shuffled through this and back and fourth Having taken so Long And displayed such incompetence, It was awful... painful to watch in front of an almost empty Diningroom, Instead of "Ok, Right this way" She doddled for nearly a Half an Hour... what felt like an eternity, instead of Being smart enough to know they lost Our Reservation and cover it up like cat doo doo, or going Back to Her Clipboard and Other charter after getting Us to a Seat... oh, This place was Beyond Awful, I feel Bad, Because Ive Owned a Restaurant and I Know How Its not a fun day when someone doesnt like Your work... But when the collective Carnival atmosphere Has ruined Your Memory of Your Easter... You Really really dont feel good about it either, Not at almost a Hundred Bucks too, Until Appetizer, Meal, and tip Were All Said and done... We still tipped, Very Well... Because That's the kind of Good People We are... Vote with Your Feet,...
Read moreHad an enjoyable time at this restaurant and would definitely go back. Our waitress, Debbie was great. Our breaded chicken entrees with the sides were delicious and reasonably priced. Rolls were warm & slightly sweet, and served with plenty of whipped butter. The iced tea is fresh brewed just right & truly delicious, didn't even need sugar even though I usually sweeten my tea. But when it's brewed right there's no bitterness and it is refreshing with just lemon. Also not watered down like many restaurant teas are once ice is added. Loved the atmosphere, charming vintage without looking tacky & dated. Very clean and comfortable. Nice wrap around wall of windows. The tomato bisque was sadly disappointing, very good flavor but horrible lumpy texture (a bisque should be smooth, slightly thick after being run through a food processor). Croutons were added to the cup too soon and became soggy soaked blobs. The soup was garnished with nice freshly grated wide strips of parmesan cheese but it was too much and filled the entire top of the soup (albeit only a cup) & was a thick clumpy bunch that hid the bisque beneath it. Upon removing the cheese clump the next thick layer was the soggy croutons in the lumpy bisque which I found very unappetizing and I couldn't get past the texture to enjoy eating it. My friend however did eat all of his bisque. And again I could tell the flavor was good but I just couldn't deal with the lumpiness and soggy croutons. Dessert was disappointing as ice cream was served in a bowl on top of a hot saucer, maybe the bowl started out hot too because the ice cream was literally 1/2 liquid when served, that's not right. It tasted good but I didn't bother drinking the melted ice cream. Traditional Strawberry Shortcake biscuit style looked good but was a big disappointment as the biscuit was too heavy with soft exterior & virtually no flavor (I make this dessert from scratch so had the fresh baked expectations). There was a huge amount of whipped cream that enhanced the presentation but upon tasting was that of a cheap brand canned whipped cream not enjoyable to eat. So the only part good was the strawberries and little bit of ice cream that was not melted. We didn't complain because of how overall it was an enjoyable experience. All was enhanced by the unexpected addition of live entertainment by Bill Horn, Piano Player and Singer!! He is great, took requests, played...
Read moreOur group of twelve was there December 20,2023 we had reservations for 7:30 pm it took them about 20 to 25 minutes to seat us the dining was half empty. People that were in line ahead of us said they were so slow, we took it with a grain of salt and waited. First mistake, we were seated about ten minutes later our waiter came with butter and hard rolls for us took our drink order. Most of us ordered hot coffee when it came it was luke warm some cold. We told the waiter and he said he would bring us more just drink what we had first. He came out with a pot of coffee just as cold as the first pot. So I told him it was cold again he explained how the coffee was s made in a big coffee pot then poured into the small pots I guess they just sit them on the counter must be why their cold so I didn't drink mine. So we ordered our dinners which came out cold my mashed potatoes were cold my broccoli was half frozen and my crab cakes were cold also. My friends food was the same. We then asked to speak to the manager he said okay the came back to say the manager left. He asked if he could help. I told him my food was cold like my coffee and my friends told him the same he offered to take them back to heat them up we declined that offer.he then said he take 25 percent off the bill with he did that was basically nothing from the price of the meals that were ordered. We were the last people there as the dinning room was closing and another waitress informed us that she had problems with cold food also earlier that evening. We were told that they told the cooks and they don't care and didn't listen to them. Our waiter was wonderful he tried to make things right for us but at theses prices we shouldn't have had to go through all of this food should have been hot coffee should have been hot. I would not recommend this place to our Senior Center for our bus trips I certainly will never go back there. If you want amazing food go to Casey Jones located at the Red Caboose Motel. The food is amazing, and it's hot and the price is reasonable you won't be disappointed like you would be from the...
