Definitely the worst experience that I've ever had with a phone repair business. The whole thing was a literal migraine but to top it off, my phone was GIVEN to SOMEONE ELSE...
I brought my phone in last Saturday (10/28) because it kept freezing and restarting... I had to leave it overnight and the next day when I called to see if it was ready, I was told yes it is and I can come pick it up. I got there about 40 minutes later only to be told that my phone wasn't actually ready and when I said "whoever answered my phone call earlier told me that it was ready" he responded that I had talked to him, but that Samsung emailed him in a panic because something else needed fixed (or something to that effect). Was told it should only be about 30 more minutes. I left and then returned another 35-40 minutes later and this time the same employee told me that he accidentally gave my phone to someone else (someone who had a very similar phone). He said something like "don't worry, I talked to him and he's on his way back here with your phone" ...but how can I not worry? I keep all of my personal information on my phone. And although it kept freezing and restarting, it was still able to turn on and was usable?? I didn't flip out, I wasn't nasty, I get that mistakes can happen. But that's something that SHOULDNT happen. Its called being CARELESS. I trusted this business with something very personal and that trust was broken. My husband and I tried calling the next day to speak with the owner (he wasn't in) so we left our phone number with the employee who answered the phone and told him it was really urgent, but a week has gone by and no response from owner so thats why im leaving this review a week late. BTW, I did get my phone back after another 30-40 minutes of sitting in the store waiting, but, still, I would NEVER recommend this particular ubreakifix asurion.
EDIT: still no response from owner even though he has been active on his google...
Read moreI am extremely displeased with the service I had gotten today! On 8-18-2024 My 13 year old daughter had mowed yards for our neighborhood to save her money to replace a iphone11 pro max phone we had laying arounds screen. The technician had told me yes I can do that give me 30 mins. She paid $200 to get it in working condition. She had a case and screen protector on it. A few days later it was acting up and the touch screen (what we had replaced) was hardly working and the actual screen had popped off the frame of the phone!. With cheer practice and attending to care for my 6 year old diabetic I could not get up to have it looked at right away. I went up to the Lancaster location on route 30 and the tech guy working said oh yes it definitely should not be doing this give me 40 mins and I will have it fixed for you. I went to the petco behind the store location and then returned. He had then told me that this was an error from them replacing it BUT since her phone had a scratch on the screen they would not replace it, that the WARRANTY would not work through Apple. (I had NEVER received any warranty papers, no terms and conditions and no receipt. I was told it would be emailed to me. I refused to pay the discount price $80 to get her screen fixed due to their mistake. It should not even go through warranty due to this not being my daughters negligence. This should be replace at no charge due to a tech not properly doing his job. My daughter is upset and her hard earned money was thrown away due to negligence of UBREAKIFIX's employee. I asked for a receipt and just got this survey instead. I will be calling corporate as well as the BBB. From what I can see this is fraud. It will not allow to upload photos at this time...
Read moreMy husband and I had cracked our iphone screens. We called UbreakIfix and they offered a deal to have both fixed. We waited 2 hours and when we returned we were told my iphone battery was dead (it was working perfectly fine before) so they had to replace it but offered us at cost charge. We waited another 20 minutes until they then told us it wasn't the battery and they did not know what happened but my phone was no longer turning on or holding a charge or working at all. They were very apologetic and did not charge us for anything but had to keep my phone and continue to try to fix it. The next day they informed my husband he would have to take it to an Apple store. The Apple store told him it was now a junk phone, had no trade in value, and that was that. When my husband called UbreakIfix to relay this information the owner changed his apologetic tune and basically said tough luck. He would not compensate us for a used iphone 8 (which is what phone I had). He argued that he did not charge us for what work he had already done (like break my phone...what good is a new screen and battery if the phone does not work??) Aside of this, my husband's screen has a spot on it and does not respond to touch very well. After an hour of negotiating he eventually offered us $50 if we did not write a negative review. Didn't seem worth it to me after what we had to go through. I hate to write a bad review but this was extremely poor customer service in my opinion and I feel it's fair to share...
