BEWARE!!! DONT SHOP HERE 🤢 It's disappointing to write this review, especially considering that Haraz is a relatively new establishment. During my recent visit, I couldn't help but notice cockroaches scurrying around the dessert freezer area. This not only ruined my appetite but also made me question the overall cleanliness and maintenance standards of the place. For a newly opened coffee shop, encountering such a serious hygiene issue is unacceptable. I urge the management to prioritize pest control measures and ensure a clean environment for their customers. UPDATE: 4/9/24 Ownership have the nerves to claim I never shopped their establishment when I even addressed my concerns to staff members as well as management, they offered me a free complimentary dessert ( rose cake to be precise) for such a horrible experience and unsafe food environment, what a shame , I surely will make everyone aware of how poorly they treat customers just because I CHOSE not to stay quiet for the safety of all students and community members. Health department MUST...
Read moreI was very exited to try this place but was shocked when I walked in and saw the prices. They charge $7.50 for a small piece of cheesecake and $8 for a small piece of cake! These prices are just ridiculous. The coffee is not that great either. $6 for a Cortado!!! Are you kidding me? This has to be the most expensive overpriced coffee in the US. I am a big coffee drinker and so are all my friends but we won't be coming back here. I spent $30 on 2 coffees and 2 stale croissants which they heated/toasted after ordering. Those prices just don't make any sense. The place is nice inside, nicely setup. But they even ask for tips at the register when they don't even serve you at your table, it's like tipping them just for taking your order which you have to pickup at the counter yourself anyway. Cortado needs to be served with a small spoon btw, and so should many of the other coffees you sell. The atmosphere is great and interior is beautifully setup but the coffee is...
Read moreDisappointing Point System and Hidden Fees
I usually enjoy using loyalty programs to get rewarded for my repeat business, but Haraz Coffee's point system feels like a total ripoff. The typical "Buy 4 drinks, get 1 free" deal is what I expect, but that’s not what you get here. When I placed an order on the app, I was hit with an automatic service tip charge of $0.86 and an additional service fee of $0.25. That’s an extra $1.11 in charges that you don’t face if you order in-store.
So, if you buy five drinks, you’ve already paid for your “free” drink through these hidden fees. That’s not how a point system is supposed to work. It's supposed to reward loyal customers, not nickel-and-dime them with extra charges. This practice feels misleading and makes me question whether I’ll keep coming back. Very...
