My husband and I were fans of Moge Tee and as HTea has taken over the space, comparisons cannot be helped. I appreciate that HTea serves some baked goods and I was excited to try their mango tiramisu which looked delicious. That's the only compliment I can give it because it didn't taste good at all, tasting nothing of mango or passion fruit, it just taste like a wet cake. The fruit on top was alright. The Tropical Twist took me by surprise as I just expected it to be a frozen smoothie but it had some very tasty fruit bits at the bottom that made for a fun texture. They did forget the foam cheese I requested but they fixed it when it was brought to their attention. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea my husband got was alright. Overall, an ok experience besides. I'll be fair and say we had high expectations from missing Moge Tee. So far, we wouldn't go out of our way to come back but we might check it out in a few months again to see if their selection has changed.

HTea Cafe has quickly become my go-to spot for boba in East Lansing. The drinks are consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, unless you want it that way (which I love because you can customize everything). Their classic milk tea is rich and creamy, and the brown sugar boba is always soft and chewy, never mushy or overly hard. What really sets HTea apart is the variety on the menu — from fruit teas to slushies to creative seasonal specials, there’s something for every mood. I tried their mango green tea with lychee jelly, and it was chef’s kiss. Super refreshing. The staff is friendly, the vibe is clean and cozy, and the service is fast. It’s a perfect hangout spot whether you’re cramming for finals or just looking to treat yourself. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area — easily one of the best boba shops in East Lansing!

I love a good boba place and H Tea definitely checked all the boxes: high quality boba, fresh ingredients, and daily brewed tea. Their jasmine green tea latte is definitely my favorite: you can just taste the jasmine in the tea and the milk was a perfect ratio to not overpower the tea. Their croffle (croissant and waffle) was also delicious! And their strawberry matcha was really really good as well. The interior was very clean and spacious, with several charging ports to do work. I would say parking is slightly more annoying (have to park by neighboring streets or in the parking lot behind the store). It’s just so cute! New favorite boba place and I can’t wait to try more drinks from them!
