Panera Bread — Restaurant in East Norriton Township

On my last visit here with my mom this past Sunday, I was going to order the Baja Bowl for myself as it is the only vegan option on the menu; however, they were out of the rice quinoa blend for the bowl. No worries…I just figured I’d go eat somewhere else. However, in an attempt to be helpful, the cashier called me over to the register to help me find other menu options that could be made vegan. With the cashier seeming to be new, she didn’t have a great understanding of all of the menu options, so she asked her manager, Diana, if any other menu options could be made vegan. Diana was the least bit helpful, suggesting for me to just look at the menu for any meals with the letter “V” next to them (the letter “V” on Panera Bread’s menu meant that the meal was vegetarian, not vegan). From this response, I could tell that Diana had no effort or care to help out her customers, and this lack of care over customer’s dietary needs and lack of knowledge of the menu is absolutely despicable of a manager! Panera Bread needs to hire managers that put in the effort to actually learn their menu and actually want to help customers with their needs. Anyways, the cashier still tried her best to help me find vegan options on the menu by pulling out her phone and googling all of the ingredients in all of Panera Bread’s menu options (such a sweetheart). And despite finding meals and adjusting them to be made vegan for me, the line still managed to mess up my order despite her effort. Now, I will never be returning to this Panera Bread due to their lack of vegan options and the lack of effort in part of the manager, Diana, and the workers...

This place has a great staff. The workers seem to work well on their own. I was there last night and I did not like this one Manger..Diane.. The way she spoke to the employees seemed very demanding,, even though they were already performing their task.. Specially those taking the trash out. It was close to closing time. I also had the pleasure of interacting with her as my order was soup and French Baguette was not available. I mentioned that the price was the same with no side order.. She mentioned the bread was free.. Rudely said and that is all she said.. I felt like I was begging.. Not good..As I was walking out, She was taking an order from what seemed like a homeless lady.. Her tone was rude. I think she saw me looking at her because she gave the lady an extra portion.. Which surprised me. Not a good look when your store serves great food and you have nice people like Alma in the kitchen. This is a good place regardless...

9/13/2024 I actually like to mention Sophia, who prepares the orders. I arrived late and the soup I ordered was not available. She offered an option and seemed very customer oriented, opposite of what the lady I previously mentioned was like. Thank you Sophia.

Same manager with issues this morning.. Dunno the name.. But I ordered a full sandwich and I was told that morning sandwhiches 🥪 are always halves.. not disclosed when I ordered... I rather go to the one in Conshohocken.... During the weekdays, the East Norriton staff is awesome.. That young girl is worth Gold.. but that Saturday Morning Manager gives you a look that...

I used to eat at this Panera relatively often for lunch because it is near my work, but the past three times I've gone (in a 1.5 week span) have been absolute trash. First, they gave me the wrong side so I called them about it because they have a policy where if they mess up your order, you get a free treat; the manager did not give a singular f**k and said my side was "basically free", but he'd take my name down so I could get it next time I was there...then forgot to take down my name. Second visit, my chicken panini was the most disgusting sandwich they have ever given me; it was cold, the cheese wasn't melted, and the entire bottom bread was flat and soggy. Third visit, I show up for rapid pickup, the store is not busy at all, but my order was not even started. Then I get home and realize they gave me a cinnamon raisin bagel instead of cinnamon swirl. So I'm pretty much done with this location because they suck and don't even try to make up for...
