Pearl Garden — Restaurant in East Norriton Township

My family has been ordering food here for years with no issues except for tonight. While ordering I clearly said I’m a vegetarian even asking if the egg drop soup was made with vegetable broth or meat broth. I then ordered general tsos tofu. When the food was delivered it showed up as general tsos chicken. I called back understanding these things happen but expecting the mistake to be corrected. She immediately jumped down my throat saying that when the order was placed we clearly said chicken. She put the phone down and proceeded to tell her boss what happened saying that she “knows for a fact that I ordered chicken” saying that I was complaining about nothing, and going on to say that she thought it was weird after I asked about the broth to order chicken.

The order was corrected but I’m afraid the damage is done. It’s a shame because we order from here about once a week and like the food a lot. I just have a hard time getting over someone being so rude. I’ve never been spoken to that way before by someone in customer service. I even put her on speaker so my sister could hear her and she was appalled by her behavior. All she had to say was that they’d correct it and there wouldn’t have been any issue. Instead she made the business look bad and turned away...

Our favorite Chinese Restaurant ever. Always fresh food. Pleasant and friendly family owned and operated. The food is always Great and EVERYONE is welcomed. You can see them working hard together in the kitchen behind the counter. They'll make what you want and when you want. I've been with them for years and not one complaint from me ever. They keep a clean restaurant and beautiful plants as well. I'm picky when it comes to my Chinese food, but two thumbs up always for Pearl Garden. Highly recommended ! You can help out Family Restaurants by using Restaurant's own personal Driver rather than thru their Applications, etc. Which takes a huge chunk, but when you use their own Driver, the Restaurant doesn't lose out. I order from Pearl Garden frequently. I am always sure to tip. This particular time I did not have cash on me and opted to tip on the card. The driver showed up and refused to give me my food until he had a tip. He called his boss back at pearl garden to tell him I didn’t give him a tip when I was gonna scan the QR code to leave the tip on the card. The owner asked me to give my card number over the phone to leave a tip. I refused because it’s safer to use the QR code and go through PayPal. The driver was visibly upset and reluctantly gave me my food which I paid for in full. All while was I was holding my 5 month old baby in the cold because he was holding my door open. This is completely unacceptable when I am a paying customer who was going to give him a tip just...
