After tasting Caribbean influenced beer at Montclair Brewery we needed Caribbean food! We found Bekka's tucked in on a quiet street in a cozy neighborhood and were treated to yummy Jamaican meals. Jerk chicken, curry chicken, sweet plantains, rice and beans, stewed cabbage. And you had better like it spicy because Bekka does not hold back. The curry was 🔥. 😄 The medium and large dishes were both enough for 2 meals. I want to explain the "atmosphere" rating though. This is mostly a take-out spot with 1 table and a small counter. Not typically what would earn 5 stars but I don't think it's fair to take stars away when a spot offers exactly what is expected. It was clean and tidy and that's all that matters IMO.
