This is the recommendation that I sent to Qdoba. PLEASE PLEASE RECOGNIZE the two employees who worked yesterday by themselves. I didn't want to bother them to get their names but I am sure you know who they are. Sunday after church we were looking for a place for lunch, we hadn't had very pleasant experiences with Chipotle since COVID but thought we would give it one more try, as it was on our way to our next errand. We got there and there was a note on the door that said that due to a staff shortage, they were only accepting mobile orders and pick up. Even after seeing the note we popped our head in and asked the 4 employees standing around (taking a break because they "just got over a mobile rush") with no customers in the building if they couldn't take our order as we do not have the mobile app and I didn't want to take the time to download it and order online. They said no. Yet another mark against why we haven't eaten there since COVID! We then went to Qdoba in East Peoria where we saw more cars in the parking lot than ever before, we walked in to a line more than halfway to the door, and people sitting down enjoying their meal. Behind the counter, there were only TWO PEOPLE working!! But they were working diligently to get people through the line. I mean these two employees were on point, the line was a little slow but they kept it steadily moving all while being very polite, apologetic, and very efficient. I felt bad for them and really wanted to go behind the counter and just do ingredient refills and clean up behind them, restock the supplies in the dining room and wipe tables down; my husband wouldn't let me, but I wanted to. Anyway, they did not lose any customers and I think everyone there was very grateful for their hard work and determination! I know we thanked them several times. We ate in the dining room and watched as more people came and they just kept plugging away, finally, they had a few minutes of no customers where they could refill, clean, and breathe! Please recognize these two employees for keeping your doors open and serving your customers in a very polite and proficient way! These are dedicated employees who took on all the business I am sure Chipotle gave...
Read moreI’ve never been so disappointed with a Chipotle visit. The rice was hard, some of the steak was nearly impossible to chew, and some pieces were so fatty I honestly thought they were raw. My bowl also had random ingredients I never ordered, even though I was ordering in person and watched them make it.
The biggest issue, though, was that the store refused to honor my valid BOGO coupon. Nobody there seemed to know how to use the Chipotle app, and apparently, there wasn’t even a manager or anyone on duty who could figure it out or help me. I was told “there’s nothing we can do,” in a condescending way which is ridiculous for a company this big. What bothers me the most is that I brought my friend here (we’re both students) and I offered to pay with my coupon, which didn’t even work so we were both stuck in an awkward situation and very disappointed.
When I contacted customer service, I expected them to fix the situation- instead, they sent me the exact same coupon that didn’t work in the first place. No refund, no apology, nothing. The woman on the phone wouldn’t even let me speak when she asked what had happened and started yelling at me for asking, “how do I make sure this doesn’t happen again?” I ended up paying full price for a meal that was barely edible and service that was completely unhelpful.
I used to love Chipotle, but this experience really changed my opinion. I was literally craving it and I got an overpriced bowl of inedible ingredients. If this is how they treat loyal customers, I’ll be taking my...
Read moreEasy to find, ample parking, good handicapped access. Menu is easily understood and large so I didn't need my glasses on. Order taker was kind, knowledgeable and patient. They made my steak burrito in just a few seconds. Was mostly clean and well organized. The drink station is very poorly designed, no place to put my straw sleeve, cup lids exposed and hard to remove. Almost everyone that needed one pulled out two or three, fumbled around with the others and stuck them back in the dispenser, quite unsanitary. Seating is ok. I'm not sure what is going on with the triangles at the bathrooms, if we can't have words can we have symbols Americans of all stripes know what they are? I thought they were civil defense symbols or an AA meeting room. If you do your homework you'll find the triangle within a circle is already taken and have meaning of there own and its not restrooms. My burrito was very good except for the few mouthful of grissle I needed to spit out. Better quality control by supplier might be A good start. Overall it was a nice time, I've never seen bare plywood used as decor before,...
