1st visit was decent. The food was good, service was good and the drinks were good. 2nd visit was where they lost me... Both meals and sides were really salty. Almost completely inedible because it drowned out the flavor you expect the dishes to have. I would have been willing to come back and just request less salt to be added during cooking (because I could always add more salt if needed), but what killed Tequila's for us, was them deceptively marketing their "free" queso sauce... Which is only free if you pay your bill in cash. Unfortunately for us, the verbiage in the sign is not as boastful as the other wording on the sign... So much that they had to go HAND WRITE it on each of the posted flyers. The server also failed to mention this when we asked about the "free" queso... So we were charged a little more than 4 bucks for a tiny bowl of what tastes like canned nacho cheese dip. And when we told the manager that we weren't aware and were not informed by the waiter that we had to pay in cash, he was indifferent and just said that there are signs in the restaurant. So, I am a foodie and I appreciate when businessss are upfront about their products and pricing. A good restaurant that has a good business model, and GOOD FOOD, doesn't have to trick their customers into buying anything. Best way to lose my business is to not value it, to have inconsistent products and service, and to mess with my money when I am a paying and tipping customer. I will be going to Good Tequilas from here on. I hope the 4 bucks and some change was worth losing my work functions, hosting clients, hosting my family and my weekly date night...
Read moreMy wife and i have gone here for about 3 years now. Most the time our service nothing but excellent, however today has put me off from ever wanting to revisit this place ever again. We got to the store about 6pm, our server got to us rather quickly, but after that our service went down the drain in a hurry. We ordered and i also ordered a drink, about 20 mins later a table was sat next to us, about 10 mins later our server took their order and walked back by our table and asked if we had ordered yet... so i instantly knew she forgot to put our order in. Granted things happen, i get it. But then she proceeds to bring us another tables order whos was sat even longer after us. So she forgot to put our order in not once, but twice. After deeming we werent getting our food, we proceeded to pay for the alcohol i had consumed while waiting on this nonexistent food we had ordered. But when i went to pay, the server had no idea what ticket was ours as she asked if he had some stuff that we didnt order on there. But also was gonna ring our food up aand make us pay for that as well. The kicker to this, the manager was standing right beside her during all this and mever offered to do anything about this problem. She still didnt understand we hadnt gotten our food. Normally this place is awesome, but unfortunately i will be soending my money at lorens from now on as this is highly unacceptable by any standards. Our bills usually totals around $65 each visit and i gladly tip around $12-$15 for the speedy service. I hope they wisen up and the management gets better at decision making or this ppace will lose a lot...
Read moreRestaurant is very dirty and food has gone downhill. Service is terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a table for two when another couple came in, went to the podium and were seated right away. When my husband questioned why that couple was seated before us the employee was very rude and said because they were a table for two. My husband told him we were also but he began arguing with us stating that we were down as a table of three. He continued to argue when my husband tried to explain that the girl had wrote it down wrong then. He was so rude and argumentative my husband asked to speak to a manager and the employee said he IS the manager. We decided to leave and told him we wouldn't be back. As we were leaving this employee actually followed us out the door telling us to go ahead! I've never experienced anything like this in a Restaurant. As a fellow business owner I couldn't imagine treating customers this way. We have been dissatisfied with the food and cleanliness the last couple times we were there but this visit assured we will never go back and we have been sure to let our friends, family and customers know about...
