Horrible disrespectful customer service! I ordered a large order through GrubHub today. When I received my order one $12 sandwich was missing and another was burned and did not have the added bacon ($2) or extra cheese ($2). I naturally called to ask that my sandwiches be resent. When I called, a young woman was very rude to me right away, saying "I just got here! Hold on!" And put me on hold. She got the cook on the phone who began telling me the sandwich was made perfect and we only ordered one. I explained that it was completely blackened on top and had neither the bacon nor the extra cheese, and that I had a purchase receipt that proved we had ordered two of them. He started yelling at me "not to dare have an attitude with him" and that he had "made the sandwich perfectly as ordered" when his manager took the phone and interrupted our (somewhat heated at that point because he was screaming at me and naturally I wasn't going to bend over and take that!) conversation. The manager lied to me and said that the only way I could receive what I had paid for was if I brought the whole order in, at my own inconvenience. The first time we ordered from here it was great and everything was perfect and delicious, but this experience has proven to me that that was a fluke. I will not be ordering from here again and will be taking the photos of my burned food in to the location tomorrow to prove that...
Read moreSaxs is killin it! We moved to EP in 2017 and the first night at our home we got Saxs so now it’s a staple. This is the type of Pizza that I’d go out of my way for. Out of 30+ orders over the course of 3 years We haven’t had 1 burnt or under cooked pizza. It’s always cooked on point and if it’s not this isn’t the type of place that you would feel nervous about calling to give constructive criticism. But the coins! Yes COINS I put in the photo below. For every 10$ you get a coin. I just spent 30 so I have 3 now. When you hit a certain number you get merch or other products from them. I’m a rewards or a deal person I don’t buy anything without getting a deal or rewards/points from it. This is something not a lot of family owned businesses do. There are hundreds of pizza businesses in this state and a handful a real actually good. But then there an even smaller number that have become known in this state by there name, owner/staff and consistency over a long period of time. Those businesses are Rhode Island staples. Saxs is 110% a RI Staple right up there with...
Read moreI’m giving 5 stars based on the fact that this place is a RI institution. My father and grandfather took me here (the old location) when I was younger. That being said, it’s the same, yet different. It’s not as good as another has stated, but it’s still good. Probably the best in RI still, although new places may have popped up. However, the name alone can induce salivation and primal desire for simplicity on a roll. Yet it is simplicity that works. I’ve always gotten the same thing, every time I’ve gone, steak and cheese, with onions and mayo. Did my most recent trip bring back joyous memories of steak once eaten? Yes it did. But at the same time, it also made me realize it has changed. I can place my finger on it, but there was something different. Maybe my memories had it on such a high platform, that even if it is the same, it could never live up to itself. Either way, the place is quality. New location is more convenient. The seating doesn’t matter to me, as it’s always something I...
