Went for a Valentines Day dinner and honestly it was dreadful. The service was horrible. Paid $47 per person, my girlfriend and I. Off the jump, had a reservation. Waited after I had a reservation to be seated. Table was still dirty from the people before. Food was laughable for $120. Got bread w oil.(6in Roll, not warm) It came with 3 apps that were shared, a plate of lobster or cheese ravioli (2 pieces shared, basically lose money with cheese), the main meal was good, cooked great (not shared surpsingly), and cheesecake w choco covered strawberries. Good, pretty hard to mess up. The apps were assorted seafood on a plate over greens. Which another table made a comment about as well. It was literally steamed seafood, artichoke, olives, over lettuce. Seafood on the plate was quite scarce. Tomato Mozz which was good as always. Rice Balls which were the smallest I have seen in bergen county. The inside resembled ham, cheese, and rice. Ravioli was a plate of 2 single raviolis for 2 people. Again, this wasn't even close to anything fancy. If im in some elegant setting and i get 2 individual raviolis between two people, atleast the service would be good/great. We were told we would have complimentary prosecco. We were lucky to even get one drink! I waited the whole time for a glass of water and once i asked after like 30 minutes, they just gave me the pitcher and two glasses LOL. I was promised 2 drinks on the house and that never came after the owner told me "oh no one got it? I GOT IT RIGHT NOW" 4 times atleast. Never got it. Nothing on the menu could've been changed being that all food was prepared in advance?? I rarely complain about bad food service. When it comes to spending what I did here. I did not feel at all that I received my moneys worth. I was offered 25% off the meal but even then. That day was a circus with atleast 4 couples that were visibly and audibly upset. It wasn't as busy when I had left. The owner was nothing but false promises and failed responsibility. At points, I was ready to pay the tab and leave before the main course came out. So many things went wrong, I had to write this review. I've eaten at many high scale restaurants, I've spent less and had amazing service. It hurts to spend hard earned money to feel duped. Anytime you feel robbed from somewhere, the establishment failed its job. Moral of the story, you guys had no business charging $47/person for what...

I am confused. This place was buzzing. I remember when it was a hole in the wall in Hackensack Ave. Now they have this huge beautiful building , and they have really upgraded themselves. But…. What happened?? The menu has everything you could possibly want on it. The service is good. The products are legit and high quality. The shelves are stocked. I originally came in here to talk about catering an event and figured I would grab a bite while here. I asked for a meatball, it was delicious 5 stars for the meatball. I grabbed a tiramisu as well. It’s exceptional , 5 stars for that. Now let’s talk about this AnnaBella Steak Salad. I am ….. bamboozled. What happened? Did I order wrong? Everything that could be wrong with a salad… was wrong with this salad. Starting with initially getting the wrong salad ( kitchen mix up it happens and was quickly fixed). Now, I wish I would have kept the original steak Cesar salad instead of the Annabella steak salad I ordered. Okay, so the salad is pretty self explanatory. Mixed greens, steak, hard boiled egg, ham , salami, provolone, tomatoes onions olives with a vinaigrette. Sounded perfect. The mixed greens….. 40% of which were wilted. I understand that it’s impossible to pick out every imperfect leave… but almost half the salad was wilted. The dressing was not enough for the amount of salad provided. The hard boiled egg was overdone so it had a bit of a sulfur smell to it. The olives tasted like metal. The cherry tomatoes were wilted as well. The steak was well seasoned but so dry…. So so so dry. It was so hard to cut. Long story short the salad ended up being trashed. I may come back to try a wrap… maybe I really did order wrong. This place has to be good, it had so many people coming in and out for lunch. I will update after trying them again. As for now, 2 stars is the best I can do after chucking $20...

Placed an order for a tray of food the day before a work event. Was supposed to be delivered at 10:30am, I called at 11 and was told the order was “stuck to the back of another one” and to give him 30 minutes and he would have it delivered. An hour later I was told “he’s on his way”. Food wasn’t delivered until 12:15 (after the event started) and the Manager wouldn’t even talk on the phone. Delivery driver apologized up and down and I do not fault him, but then they said they couldn’t enter my card number - the one I called in the order with the day before to pre-pay for the food. Don’t order from this place unless you plan on being given the run around for your food to be delivered anywhere near when you request it, or if you expect your payment information to ever be secure.

Update: After the place failed to call me to get payment info, I called them to pay and after asking me what I ordered, the manager said “ohhhhhh its you” in a very sarcastic manner, before muttering a half hearted weak apology. I tried to smooth things over and say listen man I was just trying to get my order delivered for our holiday party on time, to which he just handed the phone to another employee saying “can you take this guy’s payment” without another word to me. I paid for my food, left the driver a good tip because I felt bad for him, and that is the last time I will ever order from this place.

This was my first time ordering and we do many large catering events for conferences and work lunches, and instead of trying to smooth things over, this manager only reinforced that they aren’t worth ordering from. So sad too, because their food was actually pretty good, but customer...

Annabella's was a suggestion to me by a friend and it was definitely worth the 30 minute drive. When you get there, there is parking and upon walking in theres a small deli area and a sit down bar as well, once you walk a little further back there are tables and chairs. I love the home feel of the restaurant and the music was golden oldies (again another fav of mine lol) My husband and I ordered the tomato and mozz appetizer (the mozz was so fresh and soft) which was absolutely delicious. The sun dried tomatoes on the dish where so good (a little salty but I like that) delicious enough that I order a small container to go lol. Our main meal was chicken parm over penne and a chicken parm sandwich, both where absolutely delicious. The bread for my sandwich was fresh and slightly toasted which gave my sandwich the perfect crunch, the gravy was very good and the mozz again very fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful our waiter even shook my husband's hand as we where leaving (pretty sure I've never seen that done anywhere here in NJ lol), the restaurant was very clean, the bathrooms where also clean with a changing station for babies and thendo provide highchairs (seen them in the restroom as well) we will definitely be returning to Annabella's in the near future.

Don't go here expecting menu prices to look anything like what they post online. The first photo is what they present on their website when you go to their 'Dinner' menu, the second photo is what you get when they seat you at a table. The Chicken Estivo for instance is more than 35% more expensive on in-house menu - and no pasta! On-line the penne vodka is quoted as $13, in-house it is $20. And another issue: we asked out server twice if there were any specials and twice she said no. Then we told her another server told the adjacent table of the specials, she said he was probably just explaining what was on their menu but she would double check. Guess what, there were specials!! At the end of the meal, the owner came over to ask how everything was. We explained these two issues and instead of just acknowledging and expressing regret for our inconvenience, he reasoned everything away by saying ‘we were trying out a new menu for the past two weeks’ ‘I’d go bankrupt at those (online) prices’ ‘the waitress just came back from not being here awhile’ ‘she came late and didn’t make the meeting’. Sorry, if you ask a customer about any issue they had, please don’t try to justify it away. And please, update your online menu!
