The first time we went in the restaurant had an overwhelming pungent smell of cigarette smoke. It was such an overwhelming smell we decided to leave. Months later we decided to give it a try because we really wanted authentic tacos. Well the food was awful and it was extremely overpriced. Not to mention some of the worst service I have had in a long time. We walked in to place a to go order, thankfully the restaurant didn’t smell like cigarette smoke this time. We ordered 2 of the 4 mixed tacos. We were told they were all out of the Carne Asada which was a bummer so we ordered 3 chicken, 1 shrimp, 2 carnitas and 2 al pastor. We asked if anything came with the tacos and there’s a long silence with no response. We asked about rice and beans and we were told “yes” we were then told cheese to top the tacos as well as sour crème and hot sauce were extra charges. We were annoyed but understood. So to clarify we ordered 8 tacos - which we thought came with rice and beans - sour crème, cheese and guac. This was nearly $40. We paid begrudgingly and we were told to come back in 30 mins. After 25 mins we came back expecting to wait 5 or so mins. When we got there our food had not even been started yet and we were told to come back late. I said come back later when? Like 10-15 mins? And I was just told yes. So we walked around for 20 mins - because I knew it wasn’t going to be done yet and arrived back just as it was being wrapped up. We took the food home and we received all 8 tacos a single order of rice and a single order or beans and the additional sides. I looked at the receipt and noticed that the rice and beans were extra. Fine - we were annoyed waited an hour for 8 tacos and just wanted to eat what seemed to be good looking tacos. Well we’re looks deceiving. The chicken tacos were inedible due to its dryness. We couldn’t believe how terrible they were. The shrimp taco was at least well flavored but extremely chewy. The carnitas tacos were dryer than the chicken. The only saving grace was the al pastor - which was palatable. Rice and beans were fine. 0/10 would not go back. Definitely recommend staying away...
Read moreI have ordered from this place multiple times. In the beginning there were no issues. Then comes the last order I made. I want to note that my order came through Uber eats. The receipt has nothing on it except my name and it said two bags, which is exactly what I received. I opened the bags and half of my order is missing. Mind you this was not a small order. My order came up to $122. I call the restaurant and explain what happened. The guy on the phone says unfortunately we don’t have anyone to bring you the rest of your order. Then my husband speaks with them and asks if he can come pick up the order himself. They say no and that the Uber driver must have eaten the rest of the food…(assumptions) the conversation continues and the guy on the phone is very rude. My husband drives down to the restaurant to pick up the missing food and the same guy on the phone asks my husband to stop harassing them.. (wild stuff) so my husband leaves and returns with the police. With the police involved they gave him the missing food and a report was filed. THE AUDACITY.. you just lost a loyal customer and you guys have to learn how to...
Read moreMy friend and her baby and my son and I stopped here for dinner. We were a bit confused at first because we walked in and didn’t see anywhere to sit but the lady explained that you place your order at the Tacos Locos door and then you can go sit in the Mangos Locos part.
They were very accommodating with the baby, they brought his food out very quickly. Adults food took a bit longer than we would have liked but it was worth it.
The guacamole was super fresh and the chips were really crunchy.
The carne asada was a bit dry and under seasoned . The carnitas was juicy but under seasoned as well. The tacos did not have mucho onion or cilantro, they came with lime and radish on the side but the radish was in huge chunks not sliced. Without adding guacamole, sour cream and pico the tacos were lacking and these things cost extra.
The staff was friendly and the young man making the drinks was very nice. The Horchata was very well made. They have some cool exotic drinks in glass bottles and fun Mexican candies and sweets for sale as well.
Overall I would...
