Amazing experience. Just finished eating here and couldn't wait until I got home to review, which I usually don't do.

Heard of the place but never thought to go there until we got a Dream Come True calendar from this past year, and decided to take the plunge. Used Google to reserve a table no problem, arrived a few minutes early and although slammed got seated before our reservation time. Immediately Alex, our waiter, came over and asked for our drinks. Wine as fairly priced at $8-12 per glass but the cocktails were superbly priced at $9.50! I also threw in some apps and started chatting, but literally less than 5 minutes out apps were out: incredible! Pretty yummy, although the lobster sliders were a tad on the salty side. That being said a good start.

We ordered dinner, and it took about 20 to 30 minutes to get our food, lost track, and we weren't in a hurry, not expected a quick service for how busy it was. All the while however Alex and others came by to check on us, and my girlfriend and I were ASTOUNDED how quick and attentive the service was, especially considering the average age of the staff to be on the younger side. Even one staff member came over to grab a refill on my soda, which I thought he was just clearing, but then he went and asked Alex for my drink! Never seen before in all my years, and I definitely appreciated the fluidity. Good job picking them out River Grille!

I received my ribeye steak I ordered off the specials menu and my girlfriend her pesto gnocchi - decided before we even got in the car - and everything was great. My steak was done perfectly and a huge 16oz a great value for the size considering the upclass vibe of the place. Great crunch seat and nice side, but not overbearing. My girlfriend said her gnocchi was a little spicy, which I attributed to her low tolerance and most likely the garlic, because I thought it was rich and full of texture, melt in your mouth creaminess.

After dinner we got the apple crumb cheesecake and some coffee (which came in big mugs, much appreciated!) which was a unique combo for a dessert but I enjoyed it. We paid, bill being after discount of ~$110 including 3 drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert with coffee.

Overall a great experience, and would recommend to anybody looking for a good weekend night out, and like to have top notch service, which is why you spend the money to come out in the first place! And once again thanks to Alex, great server.

Edit: also forgot my leftovers at the table and they ran it...

Started off being sat at a bar table which wasn't that big of a deal but usually an area where most restaurants designate as self-sealing and where the bartender serves you. And that was the case. For some reason only one bartender who also has the tables in the bar area and has to make drinks for the entire restaurant and serve all the people sitting at the bar. Needless to say I was without a drink for 30 minutes before I called someone over. Had some soup and wife had an app. bartender walk by us a couple of times and I believe so did the Manager but no one stop to say your food will be right out. 45 minutes after being sat I finally asked the manger for another beer and to check on our entrees. He simply said they are coming right out and the bartender was just waiting for us nto finish our apps. No apologies at all. Had only one stop by to get app plates before that. My food was excellent but my wife had a med filet came out rare. My server/ bartender was in the weeds, so we had to ask the manager to cook the steak more. Again no apologies. Just seemed to be not a big deal. I understand things but I must say there was not one point that my wife and I felt valued or appreciated that we choose to eat there for our V-day date night. Correction. The server the server that I asked to bring my check not my server, and a nice hostesses said have a good night. The manager collected my check for payment and when he gave it to me pointed out that the total was different. I was thinking oh that was nice he realized that we were not enjoying ourselves. Nope my second beer was not on the tap so he added it. Haha I did not even realize that it wasn't on it. Just seemed that he thought we were trying to get one over on him. Needless to say this was my first and last time there. We love Oak and figure we will try one of their different restaurants. If I'm driving 40 minutes to eat I will continue to choose Oak where I always felt welcomed and never had to wait long for a drink. Great food and even better service. Call me picky but I believe no deserve both. Note: I am sure your bartender made a ton of money and was very nice...but at what cost? How may more tables would of gotten another round or 2 if there was someone to be there for the order? Did you WOW anyone to want to come back? Heck we always order a coffee and desert but...

We were seated just a minute or so after a table of three. We both ordered within minutes of each other, in fact, the waiter left the other table and came directly to our table to ask for our order; so both tables ordered basically at the same time and even similar foods; an app and burgers. We both received our apps around the same time, (though what the waiter described and what was served was a bit misleading). However, when it came to the entree, the nearby table of 3 not only received their entree way ahead of us, they finished eating and had even ordered dessert. We still did not receive our burgers. Another table (of six) next to us, who were seated about 20 minutes after us, all ordered various apps and entrees and also received their entrees (steak, pasta, etc) and still no burgers for us. The waiter did mentioned it would be “yet another minute” as he passed by our table. ( No replenishment of a beverage, just not in tune to much, he didnt think of letting us know the specials, not much care or attention),

Honestly, I really think they forgot about our order, us maybe both. We ended. up mentioning the length of time to the waiter (after now a full hour had passed), and then to manager discreetly. He and she didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Very matter of fact. They said they would check on it. We definitely did not feel like they cared about their “guests” at the River Grille. The food arrived about an hour later. We almost walked out.

On a positive note, the food was really great when it did get there. No complaints there. I think if the staff seemed more concerned or understanding about the extended delay with our food, it would have made up for the wait, even if there was an order mishap. We would have been good with that. We just felt nothing from them.

Basically, the service was pretty bad and the insensitivity of the team made the...

8/2025 This time wasn't as good. They changed the dirty martini olive juice and the dirties were less than stlellar. Our server got a good amount on the table whilst pouring. My advice is to use a tray and poor at the side of the table. Could use another shrimp or two as well with the Caesar salad. Other than those items it was a good time. I hope things don't slip any more. 7/18/2025 back again. Unreal and delicious. Brooke was our server tonight with lovely complexion! The food was incredible! We got the ahi tuna, and shrimp and biscuits appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert which was on the restaurant week menu. The dirty martinis were to die for as usual. I love going to this place and I highly recommend it to others. As you already know if you've read the past reviews. 8/15/2022: I have changed the star rating to 5. Went here again and it was even better this time. Our waitress was Maddie and she was wonderful. For food we had the tuna tartare. Delicious. Also we had a mushroom and ricotta ravioli. Soooo good! Drinks were good too. Dessert: incredible. I forget the name but it was a peanut butter and chocolate brownie creation with ganache. July 11 2022: We had a really nice time here. The inside of the restaurant looks very nice but we did not eat inside as we ate out side on the street which was blocked off into a makeshift eating area with twinkle lights, astroturf flooring, umbrella tables and full dinner and bar service. It was great. We had a variety of food and drinks and they all were delicious...Including my dessert which was a creme brulee! Will definitely be back here at some point.

River Grille is a New American restaurant located on Northampton St. in Easton. It's open Monday through Thursday, 11:30 AM - 9 PM, Friday and Saturday, 11:30 AM - 10 PM, and Sunday, 4 PM - 8 PM. Reservations recommended. I'd heard nothing but glowing reviews about this place, so I was more than a little excited to experience it for myself. For appetizers, I had the chicken spring rolls, fried calamari, and lobster bisque. The spring rolls had a crisp bite with a perfect mix of napa cabbage, carrot, hoisin, and sriracha aioli. The calamari was tender, lightly breaded, and served with a zesty jalapeño aioli and marinara. The lobster bisque was rich and creamy, topped with savory lobster meat. All three were excellent! I went with the lobster papparedelle for dinner, and it was just as amazing as the appetizers! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sherry cream sauce was flavorful, and the lobster was incredibly succulent. Couldn't have asked for a better meal. My friends tried the guinness braised short ribs and the penne alla vodka. The shorts ribs were a hit, but the penne alla vodka didn't stand out, it was just average. With so many other great options on the menu, I wouldn't recommend it. Service was great. We were seated right away, even without a reservation, and our server, Maria, was friendly and showed superb timeliness throughout our meal.

Eight people in my company ate at River Grille on Restaurant Week. A three course menu was presented to us (appetizer, main entree and dessert) for $38.95. Drinks are extra. 20% gratuity and 6% tax will be added to each bill. We asked for separate checks because some are ordering drinks or food to go. When the check came, the charges were in one check, which we asked to be separated. The rude manager wants us to divide equally among the eight people of the group which we objected to. So they finally separated the bill to separate checks. The problem is some of the checks were inaccurately calculated. One person in the group was charged $90 when it should hzve been $65. Mine was for $65 when it should have been $49. Look at the two bill in the attached photo. And yet the rude manager won’t even acknowledge the mistake and ignore my complain. With this debacle I wouldn’t set foot here anymore. The food is not even so great for the prizes they have. The lobster bisque is salty. I give this establishment one star especially for the service they provided.
