Taco Bell used to be out families favorite fast food spot, that is up until this afternoon. After picking my son up from school we headed to the Taco Bell #028447, at 12486 Limonite Ave. in Mira Llma, for an after school lunch. Since it’s been a while and many c-19 restrictions recently being lifted, we decided to “dine-in” for a change. What a mistake and big surprise that turned out to be. Evidently the covid pandemic had also suspended all customer service and professionalism in Taco Bell’s business operation as evidenced by Amy who indignantly claimed to be the manager of TB store #028447. After ordering we sat down and waited for our food. I noticed that our table had not been cleaned after the prior customers use so I politely asked an employee who was walking they the dining room, (Amy), if we might have someone wipe down our table to which Amy replied, “I’m on my break, can you just sit at another table?” I was a little surprised by that response but I’m easy going so I got up and found a clean table and sat back down. Now Amy sits down at a nearby table, clearly on her brake, she’s eating and streaming a podcast on her cell phone at a volume heard throughout the empty dinning room. As the podcast loudly continues, the hosts are releasing a steady stream of F-bombs! several per minute. So I politely excuse myself to get Amy’s attention and ask if she minded lowering the volume as I’m sitting here with my son and I find the language coming from your phone inappropriate. If I was surprised about Amy’s “find another table” quip, her response to my “can you please lower the volume?” request was a full on shocker. Amy looked up from her phone and, with a snarky attitude, says “I’m on my break”. I then reminded Amy that she is in a public family restaurant where the language she is broadcasting throughout the dining area is unprofessional and offensive and I think your manager wouldn’t appreciate your sense of customer service. Amy looks at me, deadpan, and says “I AM the manager AND I’m on my break”. Beside myself, I patiently and politely asked Amy if she thought Taco Bell corporate would share the Mira Loma store manager’s attitude and opinion and customer service, professionalism, and family appropriate behavior. This is disgusting. Who knows how many hands touched that before putting it in my drink. Also, how to you fill up the container when a big piece of plastic takes up half the container.
I called to speak to the manager, Miguel. He said he can only give me my dollar back if I bring in my receipt.
Are you kidding me? How about taking down the details of the object in my drink to file a with osha? This manager was a huge jerk and didn't provide any recovery. It was just an "eh...I can't do anything for you".
I will be looking towards the goverment to file an official complaint as an object in the food is not to be taken lightly. I offered to give the manager my order details such as order number, time, amounts etc... but still he refused to help.
I'll never eat at this location again and I'll tell everyone I know to never eat here either. If this how they react to foreign items in drinks, then this company doesn't care about the safety of other food items or handling...
