We visited the Dive tonight and I was SO disappointed with the service that we had. I booked the Igloo several weeks ago for my fiancé and I to enjoy for our last night in Eau Claire together before he leaves the state for work. The Igloo was very cute and was so nice! Initially we thought it was going to be a great date. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with our service. Our reservation was for 7:00 PM. We arrived about 6:50- 6:55 PM ish as directed on the website to be a little early. We were in the Igloo by 7:00 PM. Our waitress was no where to be seen and jokingly I told my fiancé maybe this is a self serve situation and you should go to the bar and ask. After about 15-20 minutes she finally came out and asked what we wanted. (This was after my fiancé had exited the igloo and she saw him standing out there.) We ordered our drinks and pizza and it took forever. It was almost 40 minutes into our date by the time we got our first drink, and she brought our pizza. When we go out typically we like to have a drink before our food arrives. You only get the Igloo for 90 minutes so to wait almost 40 minutes for your first drink was NOT great. I will add there at least was water in the igloo so we had something to sip on. After we got our food and drink it was another 15-20 minutes with no contact from our server so I brought our plates and pizza box and my empty drink glass inside. I waited and one of the servers saw me and asked if I needed anything, I did ask for more drinks and he said he'd be right out. Our service did improve from there and he did check on us and get us a refill after that, however for 2/3 of our time that we paid for in an igloo to be with poor service it was not what I had expected. When 60-70 of your 90 minutes are questioning if you have been forgotten it does not leave a great impression. I would think twice before booking an igloo or coming here again. Which is sad because we like the Lismore and Informalist- but the Dive is...
Read moreIt was nice, just wasn’t super impressed with the drinks. Came here to celebrate our anniversary and stayed in the hotel the Dive is part of.
The staff were phenomenal and fun; very friendly. The atmosphere was spectacular. We sat in the outdoor seating, and the ambiance was excellent. Especially since we were in town during a jazz fest so there was jazz music playing in the streets that night which just elevated everything.
Unfortunately, I was super disappointed with the drinks. They sounded good on paper but the flavors were not coming through in the actual drink. Everything tasted watered down, neutral like there were too many competing flavors, or like ingredients were missing. I actually sent back a drink because it tasted like bitter lime peel and water, none of the floral notes were there (thankfully our waitress was lovely and apologetic and got me a different drink without worry).
I came here a lot back in 2018 and I loved the drinks then, so I was disappointed that all the drinks we had were not of the...
Read moreThe Dive offers a moody atmosphere and an impressive drink selection, making it a great spot for a night out. The initial service is top-notch, with staff promptly bringing water and menus, creating a high-end first impression. However, after that, the service can slow down significantly, which is a bit disappointing…
A notable concern is the cleanliness of the gender-neutral restrooms. On multiple occasions, I've found urine on the toilet seats, which is quite unhygienic. I should have said something while I was there and even thought about using the hotel bathrooms on the first floor instead.
On a positive note, the bar exudes a big city feel with its dark ambiance and candlelit tables, creating an intimate setting perfect for conversation. It’s an inviting space that really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a night...
